A print device prints prescribed information on a plurality of print media including at least one first medium and at least one second medium arranged subsequent to the at least one first medium on a long medium. The plurality of print media corresponds to a zone number that is smaller than a total number of the print media to be printed. The print device judges, for each of the at least one first medium, a print quality or a degree of the print quality. The judging the print quality or the degree of the print quality is based on a prescribed result obtained the print content of the at least one first medium on which the printing has been performed. The print device prints, on the at least one second medium, judgment result information indicating a result of the judging the print quality or the degree of the print quality.

Disclosed is a printing device including a main body portion including a body portion configured to provide an internal space in which recording paper for printing certain information thereon is transferred and an opening or closing portion configured to control opening or closing of the internal space, a printing portion configured to print the certain information on the recording paper transferred in the internal space, and a recording paper separation portion located on a downstream side of the printing portion and configured to cut or cut off and separate recording paper on which particular information is printed by the printing portion from the other recording paper. Here, the main body portion includes a protruding portion configured to prevent an adhesive attached to the surface opposite the adhesive surface from being accumulated by decreasing a contact area with the surface opposite the adhesive surface.

A half cutter includes a blade, a blade holder to which the blade is fixed, and a blade receiving member which the blade approaches to or departs from. The blade holder has a pressure receiving portion that receives a pressing force which presses the blade holder against the blade receiving member, and a transmission section that transmits the pressing force received by the pressure receiving portion to both end portions of the blade in an extending direction of a blade edge of the blade.

A label printing device includes: a conveying unit configured to convey a mountless label; a shaft portion configured to change a conveying direction of the mountless label; a cutting unit configured to cut the mountless label of which the conveying direction is changed by the shaft portion and issue a label; and a controller configured to control the conveying unit and the cutting unit. The controller executes a preparatory operation mode in which the mountless label is conveyed a predetermined distance longer than a length of a portion extending from the shaft portion to the cutting unit in the mountless label by the conveying unit and is cut by the cutting unit when a label is not issued for more than a predetermined time.

A printing apparatus forming a printed matter by a printing medium on which a print is formed, including: a casing having a discharge port; a transporter; a print device forming the print on the printing medium; a cutter; and a controller configured to: obtain medium information; and when the printing medium is not set as a cutting target, control the transporter and the print device in cooperation to: form a desired print while transporting the printing medium; and further transport the printing medium after completion of the forming of the desired print and, when a first boundary part of the printing medium reaches a facing part facing an edge of the discharge port or when the first boundary part is discharged outside the casing, perform positioning by stopping the transporting of the printing medium.

A printer includes: a conveyor that conveys a printing medium; a printing device that prints an image; a roller provided downstream of the printing device in a conveying direction; an opposed member opposed to the roller; a motor; a coupling mechanism that power-transmittably couples the motor and the roller to each other and rotates the roller in a first direction during driving of the motor, the first direction being a rotational direction for conveying the printing medium downstream in the conveying direction; and a moving mechanism that moves the roller between (i) a first position at which the roller is power-transmittably coupled to the motor by the coupling mechanism, and the printing medium is nipped by the roller and the opposed member and (ii) a second position at which the roller is power-transmittably coupled to the motor by the coupling mechanism and separated from the printing medium.

A half cutter includes a blade, a blade holder to which the blade is fixed, a blade receiving member which the blade approaches to or departs from, a blade receiving holder to which the blade receiving member is fixed, a spacer which is provided to at least one of the blade and the blade receiving member and generates a gap between the blade and the blade receiving member when the blade approaches the blade receiving member, and a fixing member that fixes the spacer to at least one of the blade holder and the blade receiving holder.

A printing apparatus includes a power-supply unit, a printing unit, a circuit board (main wired board), and a cooling unit. The main-wired-board cooling unit includes: an inflow portion including an inlet from which air outside of a housing flows in, the inflow portion being disposed on a rear surface of the housing; a first flow path in which the air flowing in flows to a front surface side of the housing; a turn-around flow path causing the air flowing in the first flow path to be turned around to a rear surface side of the housing; a second flow path in which the air turned around flows to the rear surface side; a flow-out portion including an outlet from which the air flowing through the second flow path flows out to an outside of the housing, the out portion being disposed at the rear surface; and a fan (main fan) causing the air to flow in from the inlet and also causing the air passing through each of the flow paths to flow out from the outlet. The main wired board is disposed within the second flow path.

A printing device for printing on a label sheet includes a first print head to perform printing on a first side of a label sheet being conveyed along a conveyance path. The label sheet is interposed between the first print head and a first roller. A second print head is upstream of the first print head and performs printing on a second side of the label sheet. A second roller is adjacent the second print head across the conveyance path. A cutter is downstream of the first print head to cut off a first portion of the label sheet. A processor is configured to cause the label sheet to be conveyed in a second direction after the first portion is cut off from the sheet so that the cut end of the sheet reaches the first print head.

The present disclosure provides a ribbon cassette, label printer, and installation method thereof. The ribbon cassette includes a cassette housing. A print head clamping groove, a side wall, and a position hole located inside the side wall are disposed on the cassette housing. A ribbon cutting part is formed at a connection between the side wall and the print head clamping groove. A first clamping accommodation part, a second clamping accommodation part, and a third clamping accommodation part are disposed on a surface of the cassette housing. The first clamping accommodation part, the second clamping accommodation part, and the third clamping accommodation part are respectively matched with a first position column, a second position column, and a third position column of a label printer.
