A cover and a harness can combine to form a covered harness for an animal. A harness can comprise a chest strap comprising first and second chest strap portions. A girth strap can comprise a first and second girth strap portion. A harness panel can be connected to the first and second chest strap portion and the first and second girth strap portion. A first and second magnetic element can be embedded under the first and second girth strap portion. A cover can comprise a back wall sheet shaped to cover the harness panel, a top sheet shaped to cover the back wall sheet, and a binding piece securing the back wall sheet and the top sheet. A first and second cover magnetic element can be secured between the top sheet and the back wall sheet and can magnetically connect to the first and second magnetic element.

A size-adaptable dog lead, comprising a leash component having a first cord portion, a handle formed at one end of the first cord portion, and a ring attached to the end of the first cord portion opposite the handle; a harness component connectable to the leash component, wherein the harness component further comprises a second cord portion formed into a collar band and a chest band; a releasable clasp attached to one end of the second cord portion adapted to engage and disengage the ring attached to the first cord portion; a loop formed at the end of the second cord portion; a ring interlocked with the loop; wherein the collar band is formed by passing one section of the second cord portion though the ring interlocked with the loop and around the neck of the dog; and wherein the chest band is formed by passing another section of the second cord portion transversely under the body of the dog and then upward and through the loop for attachment to the leash component using the releasable clasp.

A system, comprising a harness configured to be releasably attached to a portion of an animal; a retractable leash assembly comprising a first structural feature and a second structural feature; a receptacle coupled with the harness, the receptacle comprising a first structural feature a second structural feature; wherein the first structural feature of the retractable leash assembly is configured to be releasably mated with the first structural feature of the receptacle upon application of a force on the retractable leash assembly causing at least a portion of the retractable leash to move in a first direction; and wherein the second structural feature of the retractable leash assembly is configured to be releasably mated with the second structural feature of the receptacle upon application of a force on the retractable leash assembly causing at least a portion of the retractable leash to move in a second direction.

A training harness for a pet with a neck loop 16 placed over the neck of the pet. An upper connector 42 lays on the back of the pet with a lower connector 54 lying along the underside of the pet. A convertible strap 12 encircles the chest of the pet behind the front legs and connects with buckles to the upper connector strap 42. The left buckle of the upper connector is opposite to and mates with the left buckle of the convertible strap. The right buckle on the upper connector is opposite to and mates with the right buckle on the convertible strap. This allows the convertible strap 12 to be removed from the lower connector 54 and used apart from the balance of the device as a traditional collar with mating connectors at each end of the convertible strap 12. A system for walking and carrying a pet can include a harness configured to be worn by the pet; a clip-on bag that is selectively attachable to and removable from the harness to be carried by the pet; and a pet carrying backpack configured to be stored within the clip-on bag to be carried by the pet. The pet carrying backpack includes a pet compartment configured to carry the pet.

A pet carrying backpack includes a bottom panel, a front panel, a rear panel, a right-side panel, and a left-side panel connected to form a bag with an open top. The open top includes a collar forming an opening which allows a head of an animal within the bag to protrude therefrom. The collar may be adjustable. Shoulder straps are disposed on and extend from the front panel. Paw holes are disposed on a front of the backpack body above the shoulder straps and below the collar. An animal restraining harness, that helps to increase control over the animal when attached to a leash or a similar connection point. The harness works to reduce pulling/tension on a leash or a similar connection point by way of a slip system outlined in the claims, when the animal pulls or puts tension on the leash connection point the harness compresses on the animal and the animal is guided towards the point where the leash is being held, thus guiding the animal to that point.

A health and safety system and method are described for use on equines, canines and felines, in order to obtain data on vital life-sustaining or life-threatening processes and signs directly from the animal. The vital life-sustaining and/or life-threatening processes and/or signs in the form of data are communicated from the animal to a site remote from the equine, canine and feline. The remotely communicated data can be archived and/or communicated to a veterinarian/owner/steward/or other designate, to induce human intervention. Other sensors of the health and safety system can read/report environmental conditions, such as weather, or report other environmental conditions, such as smoke/pollution remote from, and/or proximate the animal. A position locator, such as a GPS, may also be built into the equine health and safety system. The equine health and safety system may include a halter/hackamore/bridle/harness or other components, such as a medallion, provided with a QR, or other codes, that can be read by a smart phone to put the telephone into contact with a veterinarian, an owner, stable or other authorized care custodian of the equine, canine or feline. A method of providing at least one response to the read vital life processes and signs, such as warming the equine, canine or feline, is also described.

A lighted pet harnessing device for illuminating an area in front of a pet includes a harness that is configured to couple to a pet and a leash. A lighting module that is coupled to a front of the harness is configured to illuminate an area in front of the pet when the harness is coupled to the pet.

The present invention provides an animal harness comprising a harness body and a scale. The scale is secured to the harness body by a securement means. The harness can be utilized by a user to provide a specific amount of assistance to an animal using the harness because the scale will provide the user with the exact amount the animal weighs and how much assistance the user is providing the animal.
