A harness (10) for pets, typically for dogs (30), comprises a first elongate and shaped front strap (11) designed to be fitted on the chest area, a second elongate and shaped rear strap (12) designed to be fitted on the abdominal area, and an element (13) connecting the above-mentioned first (11) and second (12) straps, designed to be fitted on the animal's back. Each end of the front strap (11) is connected to a corresponding end of the rear strap and to an end of the connecting element (13) at a pin (16, 17) which allows the straps (11, 12) to move relative to each other adapting anatomically to the body of the animal and thus forming a harness suitable for animals of different sizes.

A reversible harness for an animal having a neck region and a waist region. The harness includes a chest piece, and a back piece having a back-side tethering strap. A leash connector is rotatably disposed on the tethering strap. The reversible harness further includes a first adjustable strap to secure the chest piece to the back piece about the neck region of the animal, and a second adjustable strap to secure the chest piece to the back piece about the waist region of the animal. The harness is adapted to fit a wide variety of sizes of animals. Additionally, owing to at least one top fabric portion and at the least one bottom fabric portion of the back piece, and a first chest-side fabric portion and a second chest-side fabric portion of the chest piece, the harness is reversible.

A steering harness is provided. The steering harness couples a shoulder harness and a neck apparatus so that a front/chest attachment is provided for controlled steering and guiding of the dog, whereby the front/chest attachment is disposed to prevent choking and is secured from being displaced.

A combination strap or collar and bottle opener device that may be designed to have a short height and/or width and may include a combination attachment member and bottle opener. The bottle opener may be made in a number of different shapes, for example, a D shape (including D-ring), an oval shape, etc. A plastic quick-release coupling device may be included as a clasp system for selectively and releasably coupling two or more strap areas or ends together. A protective apparatus covers the male genitalia of an animal, for example a dog. The apparatus includes a harness arrangement securable about a torso of the animal and a cage supported by the harness arrangement to at least partially surround the male genitalia of the animal when the harness arrangement is worn about the torso of the animal. The cage is resilient and self-supporting in shape, while including one or more openings therein sized to allow passage of bodily fluids therethrough. The apparatus prevents copulation and/or prevents animal access to wounds resulting from neutering of the animal. The self-supporting material of the cage ensures that the cage is supported in spaced apart relation with the male genitalia so that urine is less likely to be directed onto the belly of the animal during urination, while still remaining comfortable for the animal due to its resilient collapsibility.

The present invention is an improved safety harness for animals riding in a motor vehicle, wherein the harness prevents or greatly reduces the chance of the animal's lower quarters from being forced under the animal's head and shoulders, reduces the amount of rotational movement, reduces the side to side movement, reduces the chance for the dog to be forced off the car seat and reduces the amount of head excursion during a vehicle crash or a sudden stop.

A restraint assembly for an animal having a front anchor member, a rear anchor member and a coupling assembly. The front anchor member is configured to be secured to an animal through an interaction with at least one of a neck, a first front leg, and second front leg thereof. The rear anchor member is configured to be secured to an animal through interaction with at least one of a tail, a first rear leg, and a second rear leg thereof. The coupling assembly coupling the front anchor member to the rear anchor member in releasable engagement, to limit articulation of a body of the animal, sufficient to substantially preclude a head of the animal to rotate and reach portions of behind the head with a mouth of the animal.

A pet harness with an excrement collecting bag holder. The pet harness secures around the front portion, chest girth, and rear portion of a pet, and includes a plastic bag holder positioned at the rear portion to receive plastic waste bags. More specifically, the holder is selectively removably attached to the harness and is configured to be positioned directly under the anus of the pet when the pet squats to defecate. A leak proof waste plastic bag, fastened to the holder, directly receives the excrement of the pet, thereby preventing the excrement from being deposited directly on the ground. The bag holder and waste plastic bag attached thereto do not impede the walking gait of the pet, and the waste plastic bag can be easily attached and detached from the holder.

The invention relates to a novel pet harness and pack for comfortably harnessing a dog and providing a dispenser for waste bags one on side of the harness and a storage pouch on the opposite side. The pouches are colorfully decorated with character faces and the bags will dispense out of a portion of the character's face. A metal loop is provided beneath a cross-stitched reinforced section of fabric wherein a leash may be attached to the harness.
