Problem: To provide a technique by which high-precision application can be performed even under conditions where positional misalignment occurs in regularly arranged workpieces.

Solution: Provided is a liquid-material application method of performing application in a predetermined application pattern on a plurality of workpieces 10, 30 arranged with positional misalignment. The liquid-material application method includes: a horizontal-position information measuring step of measuring horizontal-position information of each of the plurality of workpieces 10, 30 by an imaging device 112; a height information measuring step of measuring height information of each of the plurality of workpieces 10, 30 by a ranging device 113; and an application step of performing application in the application pattern on the plurality of workpieces 10, 30 based on the horizontal-position information measured in the horizontal-position information measuring step and the height information measured in the height information measuring step. Also provided is an apparatus for carrying out the method.

Three-dimensional printing device

A three-dimensional printing device includes a first head having a first nozzle array that ejects liquid, a second head having a second nozzle array that ejects liquid, and a moving mechanism having a linear motion mechanism that changes relative positions of the heads with respect to a three-dimensional workpiece. The first region of the workpiece is more inclined with respect to the first axis than the second region of the workpiece. A time period when the first nozzle array faces the first region and the second nozzle array faces the second region is a first time period. In the first time period, the first nozzle array ejects the liquid onto the first region in a first ejection cycle. In the first time period, the second nozzle array ejects the liquid onto the second region in a second ejection cycle. The first ejection cycle is shorter than the second ejection cycle.

PRINTER HAVING ARRAY OF OVERLAPPING PRINTHEADS

An inkjet printer includes an array of overlapping printheads. Each printhead having includes a first row of butting print chips connected to a first PCB and a parallel second row of butting print chips connected to a second PCB, the first and second rows of butting print chips having 180 degree rotational symmetry. A first printhead in the array is positioned in a first orientation relative to a media path and a neighboring second printhead in the array is positioned in an opposite second orientation relative to the media path. Data signals corresponding to a first color plane are distributed only via the first PCB of the first printhead and data signals corresponding to the first color plane are distributed only via the second PCB of the second printhead.
