Methods of making paper and labels
Paper is disclosed for use in making repositionable or removable adhesive labels. The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. The adhesive can be applied in single or multiple layers. The paper is light weight paper and preferably thermal paper for use in POS printers.

Recording medium and recording device
A recording medium according to an embodiment includes a base material; a first color developing layer that is laminated on the base material, and absorbs light having a given wavelength to develop a color; a photothermal conversion layer that is laminated closer to an incident side of the light than the first color developing layer, transmits visible light, and absorbs the light for photothermal conversion; and a second color developing layer that is laminated closer to the incident side of the light than the first color developing layer, transmits visible light and the light, and develops a color by heat converted by the photothermal conversion layer.

Substrates having improved crockfastness
An ink-printed substrate comprising a substrate and water-based ink composition printed on the substrate, wherein the ink-printed substrate has an average color density of at least about 0.48 or greater.
THERMOSENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIALS CONTAINING CHELATING AGENTS
The present invention relates to thermal recording materials comprising (in order): a support (base) layer; one or more “undercoat” layers; a thermal layer (thermosensitive coloring layer); and one or more “protective” layers, wherein the thermal recording material contains an aminocarboxylic and/or phosphorus-based chelating agent.
The thermal (thermosensitive) recording materials of the invention show enhanced plasticizer resistance and/or preprint uniformity.
TAPE FOR LABEL WRITER
To prevent an ink from discoloring and an ink from remaining when a tape for label writer using a transparent synthetic resin film which is colorized by an ink layer is peeled off from an adherend.
A tape for label writer being composed of: (i) the tape for label writer having a layer structure including at least a process layer, substrate layer, ink layer, barrier layer, and adhesive layer in this order; (ii) the substrate layer being a synthetic resin film; and (iii) the ink layer including one adhesive resin selected from the group including polyurethane resin, acrylic resin and polyester resin, and a pigment.
Thermal transfer sheet, coating liquid for colorant layer, method for manufacturing thermal transfer sheet, and image forming method
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a thermal transfer sheet which can prevent a kick and a scumming, and can form a photographic tone color image of high quality with a continuous tone image by sublimation transfer, while expanding the range of choices for colorants to be included in a colorant layer; a coating liquid for colorant layer to be used for forming the colorant layer of this thermal transfer sheet; a method for manufacturing this thermal transfer sheet; and image forming method employing this thermal transfer sheet. The problem is solved by a thermal transfer sheet (1) in which at least a colorant layer (3) is layered on a substrate sheet (2), wherein the colorant layer (3) contains a predetermined solvent, a colorant (10x) dispersible in the predetermined solvent, a dispersant, and a binder resin, and the dispersant being one or more selected from the group consisting of polyether-based dispersants, graft type polymer dispersants, acryl-based block type polymer dispersants, urethane-based polymer dispersants and azo-based dispersants.
TRANSFER SHEET
There is provided a transfer sheet with improvement in smudges and blurs of a transfer sheet when printed matters are produced. A transfer sheet according to the present invention comprises a substrate, and in the order a peel layer and a transfer layer on the substrate, wherein the peel layer contains a binder resin containing an acrylic-based resin of more than 0 mass and 49 mass % or less and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate resin of 51 mass % or more and less than 100 mass %.
RECORDING MEDIUM AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF RECORDING MEDIUM
A recording medium has a substrate and a first color developing layer, a heat insulating layer and a second color developing layer laminated on the substrate in this order. The first color developing layer develops a first color at a temperature not less than a first threshold value. The second color developing layer develops a second color that is different from the first color at a temperature not less than a second threshold value that is higher than the first threshold value. The heat insulating layer has a first heat insulating layer of a first heat conductivity and a second heat insulating layer of a second heat conductivity that is higher than the first heat conductivity, which are laminated in a second direction orthogonal to a first direction in which the first color developing layer, the heat insulating layer, and the second color developing layer are laminated on the substrate.
