A substrate for an inkjet printer is described herein. The substrate comprises a material selected to provide high contrast reflected light and having a print material receiving surface with a neutral response to the print material.

TRANSPARENT FILM, PRINTED MATTER, PRINTING DEVICE, AND PRINTING UNIT
20170144467 · 2017-05-25 · ·

A transparent film is provided, enabling a printed matter that is less likely to exhibit apparently white-tinged images and has less degraded image quality. The transparent film of an embodiment of the present application includes a support; an anti-reflection layer disposed on one side of the support; and an ink-absorbing layer disposed on the other side of the support. The anti-reflection layer preferably has, on the surface thereof on the side opposite to the support, an anti-reflection structure with multiple protrusions disposed at a pitch not greater than the visible light wavelength.

SOLVENT RESISTANT PRINTABLE SUBSTRATES AND THEIR METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE

A printable substrate, along with methods of its formation, is generally provided. The printable coating can include a base sheet defining a first surface and a second surface and a printable coating on the first surface of the base sheet. The base sheet can be constructed from a cellulosic nonwoven web and a saturant. The printable coating can include a plurality of inorganic microparticles and a crosslinked material, where the crosslinked material is formed from a crosslinkable polymeric binder and a crosslinking agent. An image can be formed on the printable substrate, such as by printing an ink composition onto the printable substrate (e.g., onto the printable coating).

Films for printing

Printing layers and films for printing are disclosed. Methods for preparing such films also are disclosed.

SUPPORT FOR THERMAL TRANSFER IMAGE-RECEIVING SHEET, THERMAL TRANSFER IMAGE-RECEIVING SHEET, AND PRODUCING METHOD THEREFOR

Provided is a support for a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet, capable of obtaining a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet that has favorable stability against curl and is excellent in the texture of a print surface in the case of print under the environmental conditions of high temperature and high humidity. A support for a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet according to the present invention includes a porous layer composed of a porous film, a first polyolefin resin layer, a substrate layer, and a second polyolefin resin layer that are layered in the order mentioned, in which the first polyolefin resin layer has a density of 0.93 g/cm.sup.3 or less; and the second polyolefin resin layer has a density of more than 0.93 g/cm.sup.3.
