20180215559 · 2018-08-02 ·

A sweep auger system having a driveshaft with auger flighting and a backboard extending a length from an inward end to an outward end. An input of a gearbox is connected to an outward end of the drive shaft and a sweep wheel having a plurality of notches, arms and feet is connected to an output of the gearbox. A drive shield is placed around a rearward side of the sweep wheel that forms a channel that is configured to capture grain agitated by the drive wheel. A guide plate is connected to the gearbox and covers a portion of the gearbox. The guide plate angles from an upper outward edge downward and forward to a lower inward edge that is configured to urge the grain captured within the channel of the drive shield to move in front of the sweep auger system reducing grain left in the grain bin.

Livestock feed wagon

A livestock feed wagon includes a frame, a feed container which is fitted on the frame, in particular provided with a feed mixer, a gripper construction having a movable arm construction and a gripper fitted thereon for grabbing an amount of animal feed from a pile of animal feed, and a weighing device. The weighing device is arranged and configured to weigh a grabbed amount of animal feed by determining a change in the weight of at least the feed container and the gripper construction with the grabbed amount of animal feed. As a result thereof, it is possible to determine both the total loaded weight in the feed container and the weight of a grabbed chunk of animal feed using the same weighing device, so that the chunk, if it is either too heavy or too light, can be returned prior being unloaded, if desired.

SILAGE DENSITY PROBE
20180149570 · 2018-05-31 ·

A silage density measuring device that is insertable into a mass of silage. The device comprises a probe that penetrates the mass of silage a certain distance. A load cell is connected to the probe and measures an amount of force needed to insert the probe the distance into the mass of silage. The amount of force is utilized to give a density of the silage and the amount is shown on a display monitor. The device is mountable on a load bucket which assists in avoiding accidents involving silage avalanches.

Particulate material storage and delivery system
09963293 · 2018-05-08 · ·

A bulk storage and delivery system for agricultural feed. Curved plates are secured to the interior and exterior of a bulk feed storage container. The curved plates are secured to one another and a vibrator is secured to the curved plates. Horizontal and vertical vibration bars are secured to the curved plates on the interior of the bulk feed storage container. The vibrator transmits vibration through the curved plates and into the horizontal and vertical vibration bars to facilitate flow and reduce bridging and rat holing of the material provided within the bulk feed storage container.

MECHANICAL DISCHARGER COMBINED WITH AN EXTRACTOR DEVICE FOR BULK PRODUCT STORED IN SILO-BAGS
20180077873 · 2018-03-22 ·

A mechanical discharger (a) combined with an extractor device (b) of the bulk product (c) stored in a silo bag (d), of the type comprising a winding tube (10) driven by rotation and which is mounted on support arms (11) hinged to a wheeled (2) frame (1) and wherein the product extractor device (b) is a continuous conveyor structure having a lower loading part (5) substantially horizontally and transversely positioned within the bag-silo (d). From the discharge end, the silo-bag wall (d) is cut with two lateral longitudinal cuts, being the wall divided into an upper part (d1) and a lower one (d2). The winding tube (10), draws by rotation and by the corresponding end the upper half portion (d1) of the silo bag (d). A second winding tube (20) is mounted underlying and parallel to the first tube (10) through support and positioning means (30) and though a mechanical transmission (40). The second winding tube (20) draws by rotation and by the same end, the lower half part (d2) of the silo bag (d). It is thus achieved that the extractor device (b) only draw the product (c) in good condition, while the lower layer of the spoiled product (c1), is drawn by the lower part (d2) of the bag wall and then discarded through the open end of the bag.

Top mounted silo unloader with belt conveyor discharge
09908722 · 2018-03-06 ·

A top mounted silo unloader utilizes a belt conveyor to move collected silage from the center of the silo structure to the door of the silo chute for discharge of the silage from the silo. The silo unloader uses a vertical auger mounted on top of the silage collection apparatus to receive silage therefrom and elevate the silage for discharge onto the belt conveyor for discharge from the silo. The silage collection apparatus includes an auger and an inboard paddle to discharge silage into the vertical auger. The belt conveyor includes a height adjustment mechanism that facilitates alignment of the belt conveyor with a selected door where a support member engages the door sill to keep the belt conveyor aligned as the silo unloader lowers with the depletion of silage from the surface as the belt conveyor is pivotally supported from the unloader frame to permit vertical movement.
