Pop-up greeting card with locking mechanism

A locking mechanism is provided for a pop-up greeting card. The card includes first and second generally planar panels which are connected to each other at a fold line. A plurality of pop-up elements extend from the inner surface of the first panel to the inner surface of the second panel. The card includes a locking mechanism having a pivoting tab which can engage a stop member, maintaining the card in an open position. Selecting the appropriate length of the tab determines the angle that the card can be opened. The stop mechanism can be located on either the first or second panels or on one of the panels and a pop-up element.

A display device comprising a first receiving layer and a second receiving layer located onto and in direct planar contact with the first receiving layer; a first support later and a second support layer located onto and in direct planar contact with the first support layer; and a sleeve for receiving the first and second receiving layers and first and second support layers.

A greeting card having mechanically actuated moving portions is provided. The greeting card may include a panel having one or more folds, one or more flexible drive shafts coupled to the panel and having a flipping or moving portion, and a decorative portion coupled to at least one of the panel and the flipping or moving portion. Each flexible drive shaft may be coupled to the panel such that a portion is positioned on a first side of the fold and a portion is positioned on a second side of the fold. When the greeting card is opened, a moment arm is created in the flexible drive shaft which causes the flipping or moving portion to move from a first position to a second position. The decorative portion may move in response to the flipping or moving portion moving from the first position to the second position.

The first flap and the second flap can move between an open configuration and a closed configuration. A flat center support is provided that extends vertically over the central fold seam. The flat center support has a flat face surface and a flat back surface. A plush body is set in the center of the greeting card assembly. The plush body is attached to both the first flap and the second flap. The flat center support extends into an interior of said plush body through an open bottom. When the first flap and the second flap are moved into their closed configuration, the plush body is pressed against both the flat face surface and the flat back surface of the flat center support.

A method of assembling a capacitive touch device is disclosed. The method comprises providing a flexible sheet having first and second faces and first and second wings divided by a fold line. The flexible sheet supports capacitive touch switches, contact lands and conductive tracks interconnecting the capacitive touch switches and the contact lands on the first face of the flexible sheet. The method comprises providing adhesive on the first face of the flexible sheet so as to bond the first and second wings and to bond a circuit board to flexible sheet. The method comprises placing a circuit board on the flexible sheet, the circuit board having contact pads which are aligned with the contact lands and folding the flexible sheet along the fold line so as to bond the first and second wings with the circuit board interposed between the first and second wings.
