APEX AXLE TRUSS SYSTEM
An apex axle truss system includes a first apex axle truss including a sheet of metal that has been bent to form a first substantially vertical wall, second substantially vertical wall, first angled wall, and second angled wall. The first substantially vertical wall is configured to be secured to a first lateral side of an axle housing. The second substantially vertical wall is configured to be secured to a second lateral side of the axle housing. The first angled wall is disposed between the first substantially vertical wall and the second substantially vertical wall. The second angled wall is disposed between the first angled wall and the second substantially vertical wall. The first angled wall and the second angled wall form an apex that is configured to be disposed over an upper surface of the axle housing.

An axle assembly for a drive device for the road wheels of a vehicle includes: a stationary housing having a housing interior at least partially filled with a lubricating liquid; axle housings connected to the stationary housing and configured to permit axles of the vehicle to pass towards the road wheels; a venting bore in one of the axle housings configured to allow pressurized air to escape from the stationary housing; and at least one rib sized and positioned in the housing interior of the stationary housing so as to prevent migration of the lubricating liquid out of the venting bore.
AXLE BEAM FOR A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
The present disclosure relates to an axle beam, in particular an axle bridge, for a motor vehicle, preferably a commercial vehicle. The axle beam has a first axle beam shell and a second axle beam shell which is connected, in particular welded, to the first axle beam shell in order to configure a tubular body. The tubular body has an inner circumferential face with a plurality of flat sections which form a non-round cross section of the tubular body. The axle beam has a reinforcing component which has a non-round cross section, is arranged within the tubular body, and bears at least partially against the flat sections of the inner circumferential face of the tubular body.

The system includes a pair of receptacles disposed on the machine component, wherein each of the receptacles is located in a spaced apart relation to one another and disposed parallel to the elongated axis. The system further includes at least one backing member corresponding to a distance between the pair of receptacles. The backing member is configured to define at least a pair of openings therethrough. The pair of openings is configured to axially align with the pair of receptacles defined on the machine component. The system further includes a plurality of fasteners such that at least one fastener is received in each pair of axially aligned receptacles and openings for releasably securing the backing member to the machine component.
