BEARING APPARATUS FOR WHEELS
A bearing apparatus for wheels includes an outer ring, a hub shaft, rolling elements, a seal attached to a vehicle-outer-side part of the outer ring, a rotating slinger attached to the vehicle-outer-side part of the hub shaft and contacted by the seal, and a fixed slinger attached to a vehicle-outer-side outer periphery of the outer ring and contacted by the seal. An outer peripheral surface of the outer ring has a non-plated surface portion provided at a vehicle-outer-side end of the outer ring and a plated surface portion that is continuous with the non-plated surface portion. The fixed slinger has an inner cylindrical portion externally fitted over and attached to the non-plated surface portion. The seal has an inner lip that contacts the rotating slinger and an outer lip that contacts the inner cylindrical portion.
BEARING APPARATUS FOR WHEELS
A bearing apparatus for wheels includes an outer ring, a hub shaft having a flange portion for Wheel attachment on a vehicle outer side, rolling elements provided between the outer ring and the hub shaft, a seal attached to the vehicle-outer-side part of the outer ring, and a slinger that is attached to the vehicle-outer-side part of the hub shaft and contacted by the seal An outer peripheral surface of the outer ring has a non-plated surface portion provided at a vehicle-outer-side end and a plated surface portion continuous with the non-plated surface portion. The slinger has a slinger main body portion that is contacted by the seal and a cylindrical facing portion that faces the non-plated surface portion to form a labyrinth clearance.
Axle Seal
An axle seal is provided and includes a seal element having a seal element top, a seal element bottom, a seal element mounting lip which extends downwardly from the seal element bottom, and a seal element sleeve, wherein the seal element sleeve is securely and sealingly associated with the seal element mounting lip, and wherein the seal element includes a circumferential outer edge portion which extends outwardly from the seal element sleeve to form a circumferential lip around the seal element sleeve and wherein the seal element defines a seal element opening which communicates the seal element top with the seal element bottom.
Wheel Hub Assembly for a Vehicle Wheel and Pole Ring of an ABS Sensor
In order to provide solutions for soiling problems and corrosion problems in the area between a pole ring (41) and the hub interior, arranged behind it, of a wheel hub assembly having a wheel hub (1) which ends inside the vehicle in a hub section (50) whose internal circumference (15) defines an opening (55) for the central passage of the stub axle (6) and on which a fastening device (42) of a pole ring (41) of an ABS sensor is mounted, wherein a pulse generator section (43) which is embodied in one piece with the fastening section (42) is a component of the pole ring (41), which pulse generator section (43) extends from the fastening section (42) to the wheel hub axis (A) and is provided with openings (44, 44L) distributed uniformly in the circumferential direction; in a first embodiment the pole ring (41) extends with its pulse generator section (43) towards the wheel hub axis (A) to such an extent that the opening (55) between the wheel hub (1) and stub axle (6) is for the most part covered towards the interior of the hub. In a second embodiment, at least some of the openings or slots have an extent (RL) towards the outside which is greater than the extent (R) which is necessary for sensing. Furthermore, it is proposed with respect to the pole ring (41) that some of the openings (44L) or slots have an extent (RL) towards the outside which is greater than the extent (R) of other openings (44) or slots.
Wheel Hub Arrangement
The present invention relates to a wheel cover and to a wheel hub arrangement, wherein the wheel cover has a shielding section, which shields a gap formed between a hub and the wheel cover, and wherein a wheel hub arrangement is provided, in which a seal element is arranged in a gap formed between a wheel cover and the hub, which seal element is embodied as a profile seal.
BULKHEAD FOR HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLE AXLES
An axle for a heavy-duty vehicle comprising a central tube, a pair of spindles, and a bulkhead. Each spindle of the pair of spindles is disposed at a respective axial end of the central tube. The bulkhead is disposed at least partially within an opening formed into the central tube and attached to the axle, providing support and connection for conduits passing from outside of the axle into the central tube while preventing ingress of water, contaminants, and debris into the central tube.
HUB SEAL
A hub seal has a side lip and is intended for sealing of a space between an outer ring and a hub of a hub bearing. In the hub seal, a value (torque T/shaft-diameter D) resulting from division of torque T as a value of torque of the hub seal in the hub bearing, which rotates at a rotation speed in a predetermined range, by a shaft diameter D as a value of a diameter of a shaft of the hub bearing is equal to or lower than 3 N, and a value of a muddy-water durable sliding distance is equal to or longer than 3,000 km.
