Flowerpot with Water Conservation Arrangement
A flowerpot includes a main body and a water conservation arrangement. The water conservation arrangement includes a plurality of ventilating holes formed on a lower portion of the main body, at least one through drainage hole formed on the main body, a control valve provided on the drainage hole, and a plurality of selective passage members attached on an inner surface of the main body to completely cover the ventilating holes respectively. Each of the selective passage members is configured to have a predetermined water permeability and a predetermined air permeability. When a predetermined amount of soil and water are disposed in the receiving cavity, the water is substantially conserved in the received cavity for being absorbed by the plant.
Vase article with imitative ceramic effect
An imitation ceramic vase manufactured by a method which includes the following steps. (1) Applying a primer layer material on a vase made by a non-ceramic material, and letting the primer layer material to dry. (2) Applying at least one layer of first middle layer material on the primer layer material on the non-ceramic material vase. (3) Applying at least a layer of second middle layer material on the first middle layer material, and letting the second middle layer material to dry, the second middle layer material having a color which is different from that of the first middle later material. (4) Applying a surface layer material on at least one of the first middle layer material and the second middle layer material, and letting the surface layer material to dry. The surface layer material is a polyurethane imitating porcelain surface coating or an ultraviolet imitating porcelain surface coating.
Formulations and products to replace single-use plastics and polystyrene with bio-benign materials such as agricultural wastes
The present invention provides methods for preparing the nut waste composites from a nut waste component, one or more binders, and an oil using a compounder/extruder.
Method for growing plants
The invention relates to a coherent propagation growth substrate product (1) formed of man-made vitreous fibres (MMVF), the product (1) having two opposed top and bottom surfaces and at least one cavity (2) which is open at the top surface and which extends from the top surface towards the bottom surface, wherein a superabsorbent polymer (3) is provided in the cavity (2).
Method for Manufacturing a Plastic Product Such as a Flower Bucket
A method of manufacturing a plastic product (1) having a bottom and an upright wall extending from a periphery of the bottom in an injection mold having a bottom-forming cavity and a wall-forming cavity. The cavities of the injection mold are filled with fluid plastic while pressure is being exerted in two stages with an interruption of the supply of fluid plastic therebetween.
In-ground seed starting apparatus and method
A device for promoting plant seedling growth and increasing the germination rate of planted seeds provides for a growing medium, such as potting soil, to be introduced to the device and retained therein. The seeds can then be positioned within the device which is configured to prevent loss of the seeds (due to washout) and promote the germination rate of the seeds. Once the seedlings have achieved a requisite height and root structure, the device can be removed leaving behind a portion of the device forming a labeling tab.

GREEN CONSTRUCTION ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A green construction element forming a vertical surface of the construction, the element including a porous concrete element and a coating on at least one of the surfaces of the porous concrete, directly in contact with the surface, the coating, which is favourable to the development of plants, including a plant or a seed of the plant, and the porous concrete having a porosity of between 10% and 40% in the hardened state thereof, before application of the coating, so as to be able to render the vertical surface of the construction green.
METHODS AND MATERIALS FOR PROLONGING PLANT VIABILITY IN REFRIGERATION-FREE STORAGE ENVIRONMENTS
This disclosure relates to compositions, containers, systems, assemblies, and related methods for cultivation and shipping of live and growing plants. The compositions, containers, systems, assemblies, and related methods disclosed herein provide additional stability for a plant's growing environment and enable prolonged storage and shipping shelf life while also reducing or eliminating the need for refrigeration.
Method of manufacturing a plant receptacle as well as a plant receptacle
Method of manufacturing a plant receptacle wherein the following steps are performed: a) providing a mixture of fibers, said mixture at least comprising PLA fibers and a bio-degradable fiber; b) using said mixture of fibers in a woven or non-woven process, making a permeable sheet material; c) continuously forming said sheet material into a continuous receptacle, by bringing the side edges of said sheet material into contact and welding said side edges together; d) cutting said continuous receptacle in predetermined lengths thereby creating separate plant receptacles or wherein said continuous receptacle is perforated substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the continuous receptacle at predetermined intervals, thereby allowing separate plant receptacles to be detached from the continuous receptacle.
