PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TIRE
The invention relates to a pneumatic vehicle tire of radial construction having a tread (1), a radial carcass, a belt bandage (8) having at least two belt plies (8a, 8b) and having at least one belt bandage ply (9), which is arranged radially outside the belt, wherein the belt bandage ply comprises cords of at least two multifilament yarns twisted together which are arranged parallel to one another inside the belt bandage ply (9) and wherein the multifilament yarns are made of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET). At a force of 1.56 cN/dtex the rPET cord (10) has an elongation of 2% to 5% at 20° C. and an elongation of 6% to 9% at 120° C., the sum of the breaking elongation of the rPET cord (10) and the heat shrinkage determined at 180° C. at a preload force of 0.01 cN/dtex and a time of exposure of two minutes is greater than 17%, and the rPET cord (10) has a heat shrinkage determined at 180° C. at a preload force of 0.01 cN/dtex and a time of exposure of two minutes of greater than 2.5%.
Radial tire having a very thin belt structure
A radial tire, notably for a passenger vehicle or van, has a very thin belt structure comprising a multilayer composite laminate of specific construction, with a first layer of rubber reinforced by circumferential textile reinforcers in the form of monofilaments or assemblies of monofilaments, preferably slightly heat-shrinkable, for example made of nylon or of polyester, this first layer radially (in the direction Z) surmounting two other layers of rubber, reinforced by high-strength steel monofilaments. The mean thickness of rubber, measured in the radial direction (Z), separating a first reinforcer from the second reinforcer which is closest to it, and that separating a second reinforcer from the third reinforcer which is closest to it, are both less than or at most equal to 0.35 mm.
Tire
A tire with a tread reinforcing layer that includes a ply reinforcing structure formed by winding a cord-embedded rubber tape circumferentially of the tire. The ply reinforcing structure includes first oblique segments and second oblique segments which intersect with each other to form a mesh structure having rhombic spaces. The circumferential lengths of the rhombic spaces are less than ⅔ times the maximum circumferential length of the ground contacting patch of the tire in its normally loaded state.
SHEARBAND STRUCTURE FOR A TIRE
A tire includes a carcass ply, a tread disposed radially outward of a crown region of the carcass ply, and a shearband structure having an overall axial width substantially equal to a tread width interposed between the tread and the crown region in circumferential surrounding relation to the carcass ply. The shearband structure includes a first shearband layer and a second shearband layer radially adjacent the first shearband layer. The first shearband layer includes a first reinforced composite with first reinforcement cords embedded in a first rubber matrix. The first reinforcement cords have having an aramid construction and a twist multiplier (TM) between 2.0 and 6.0.
TIRE WITH CUT PROTECTOR BELT STRUCTURE
A tire, preferably an aircraft tire has a cut protector belt formed of a monofilament reinforcement cord. The cut protector belt is preferably formed by helically winding a monofilament cord, wherein the monofilament cord is formed of nylon, and wherein the cross-sectional shape is not round, and is preferably obround or has a flat surface
TIRE
A tire includes a ring-shaped tire skeleton member and a belt. The belt includes a resin-covered cord formed of a reinforcing cord covered with a covering resin. The resin-covered cord is wound in a helical shape in the tire circumference direction on the outer periphery of the tire skeleton member and is joined to the tire skeleton member. Portions of the resin-covered cord that are adjacent to one another in the tire axis direction are joined to one another. An end portion of the resin-covered cord is joined to a portion of the resin-covered cord that is adjacent to a tire axis direction inner side of the end portion, areas of cross sections in a tire diameter direction of the end portion decrease toward a tip of the resin-covered cord, and the reinforcing cord is exposed at a tapered surface of the end portion.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire includes a pair of bead portions each having a respective bead core therein, a carcass extending between the bead portions and including a carcass ply that includes a main portion extending between the bead cores and a pair of turn-up portions turned up around the bead cores, and a pair of bead reinforcing layers being disposed outward in the tire axial direction of the turn-up portions so as to cover outermost ends in a tire radial direction of the turn-up portions. An outer surface of at least one of the bead portions is provided with a recess row including a plurality of recesses spaced in a tire circumferential direction, and in the at least one of the bead portions, an outermost end of the bead reinforcing layer is located outwardly in the tire radial direction of outermost ends of the plurality of recesses.
BELT STRUCTURE FOR A TIRE
A tire includes a carcass ply, a tread disposed radially outward of a crown region of the carcass ply, and a belt structure having an overall axial width substantially equal to a tread width interposed between the tread and the crown region in circumferential surrounding relation to the carcass ply. The belt structure includes a first belt layer and a second belt layer radially adjacent the first belt layer. The first belt layer includes a first reinforced composite with first reinforcement cords embedded in a first rubber matrix. The first reinforcement cords have a construction of 1100/4 dtex with a twist between 150 TPM and 250 TPM and a dipping tension between 100 mN/tex and 200 mN/tex.

A pneumatic tire is described which includes a tread, a carcass and a belt structure interposed between the carcass and the tread. The belt structure includes a first and second working belt, wherein the angle of the working belts range from about 12 degrees to about 35 degrees, wherein the belt structure further includes a low angle belt located radially inward of the working belts. The first working belt is the radially innermost working belt, and is the widest belt. The second working belt is the radially outermost belt.
