A strap assembly for use with a pet leash that enables hands-free management and control of the leash for the user's safety and comfort. The strap assembly comprises a strap with an attachment device that is coplanar with the strap and enables a leash and/or accessory to be coupled to the strap in a perpendicular orientation with respect to the strap. The strap encircles a user's body part and can comfortably provide management of the leash while preventing strain and injury to a user's hands and fingers.

A leash training device embodying a non-invasive and non-threatening method of using the same to train a dog is provided. The leash training device may include a liquid sprayer having a housing forming a handle portion and a leash assembly. While grasping the handle portion so as to manage the dog on the other end of the leash assembly, the liquid sprayer is adapted so that the user may discharge a jet of liquid from a reservoir secured within the housing. The method includes discharging the jet at or on the dog engaged in bad behavior.

A dog waste carrier that can be securely attached to a leash that is used to walk a dog. The dog waste carrier is discreet and unobtrusive. The dog waste carrier is composed of an exterior panel and an interior panel. The exterior panel has a bag dispenser to hold bags for use while walking a dog. The dog waste carrier also includes a main body having an interior for holding used dog waste bags until the end of the walk. The interior of the main body of the dog waste carrier may be configured to include a pouch to contain a charcoal packet to minimize odors. The dog waste carrier is folded along fold lines to be fitted securely over a dog leash so that the individual does not have to carry the dog waste bag or dog waste carrier while walking.

The present invention relates to a novel device and method for the retention of bags containing pet waste. The device is suitable for attachment to most types of pet leashes. The device consists of a single piece of material that is retained via friction to the leash, and which features a channel for the easy insertion and retaining of knotted bags of pet waste.

A child's safety tether with an attachment pouch provides for quick release of the stored child safety tether in situations where the child care provider must temporarily relinquish contact with the child's hand while using both adult hands to negotiate a commercial transaction. The pouch has a top openable compartment for storing a cell phone or other personal electronic device, with other necessary documents such as credit cards and drivers license cards providing an adult's photographic identification and/or signature replica. The pouch also has a lower openable compartment for storing the child safety tether, which is released downward upon opening a quick release fastener for the downward oriented lower compartment for the tether.

A leash engageable carrier for personal items of a user walking with a pet connected to a leash. The carrier has an elongated cylindrical body formed by a sidewall which surrounds the leash. The body is adapted for sliding engagement on a leash passing through an interior cavity and openings at opposite ends of the body. An interior cavity defined by said sidewall is accessible while the body is engaged with the leash through an opening communicating through the sidewall which has a closure.

A wearable accessory can include one or more retainer arms and a housing. The one or more retainer arms can couple to a wearable article. The housing can define an inner chamber that is sized for receiving component that is coupled to the one or more retainer arms. The housing can move between a closed position and an open position. The housing can protect the component from the environment external to the chamber in the closed position and reveal the component to the environment external to the chamber in the open position.

An animal garment. The animal garment includes a body having a front opening, a rear opening, and a pair of leg openings, wherein the front opening can receive a head of an animal therethrough and the pair of leg openings can each receive front leg of an animal therethrough. The pair of leg openings are disposed on a lower side of the body adjacent to the front opening. A pocket is disposed on an upper side of the body, wherein the pocket can be secured in a closed position via a fastener. The garment further includes a leash affixed to the body at the pocket. The pocket can receive the leash therein for storage when the leash is not in use.

A system for securing a safety device to a leash (SSSDL) that functions in combination with an animal leash that is used to restrain or control an animal which is typically a dog. The SSSDL has a securing member in the form of a bracket or an enclosure that is connected by attachment means to a surface of a leash. Removable attachment means including at least one strap, at least one cable, a hook and loop fastener, a double-sided tape or at least two gripping members, or permanent attachment means including at least one screw, at least one bolt and nut or an adhesive, can be utilized. The safety device preferably consists of a stun gun or an air horn, although other types of safety devices can be used with equal efficacy. For the bracket, the safety device is secured by means including at least one strip, at least one cable, a double-sided tape, or at least one clamp. For the enclosure, the safety device is inserted into and maintained within the enclosure. One of the main inventive features of the SSSDL is that the safety device can be actuated by a person while the person retains a grip on the leash and maintains control of an animal to which the leash is tethered.

The semi-engaged position allows for spool rotation in the direction of retraction, while preventing spool rotation in the direction of extension. A spool with teeth where one or more of the teeth is different from the others in shape, size or relative position to promote brake engagement efficiency. A leash maximum settings display. A moving leash guide which reduces tangling during extension and retraction. An adjustable handle grip to accommodate different hand sizes. A snap-on accessory attachment system. A leash dispenser system which limits full extension to reduce system failure.
