REINFORCEMENT MEMBER FOR TIRES, AND TIRE USING SAME
Provided are: a tire reinforcement member capable of improving the tire durability than before; and a tire using the same. The present invention provides a tire reinforcement member 1 including: a core material cord layer 2; and a spiral cord layer 3 spirally wound on the core material cord layer 2, wherein cords in the core material cord layer 2 are metal cords 2a having an inclination angle of 40 to 90 with respect to the longitudinal direction of the core material cord layer 2, and reinforcing cords 3a in the spiral cord layer 3 are organic fiber cords having a modulus of not less than 19 GPa.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
Provided is a pneumatic tire for preventing the occurrence of premature wear at tire width direction edge portions due to the use of an endless inclined belt. The pneumatic tire includes two or more layers of inclined belts formed by winding rubber strips S each composed of a plurality of paralleled and rubber coated cords in a direction inclined with respect to the tire circumferential direction while folding back the rubber strips at both width direction ends. Rubber members G are arranged between the rubber strips S layered at the tire width direction edge portions of the inclined belts.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
In a tire 2, a band 16 has a jointless structure. A reinforcing layer 18 is layered over the band 16 from a radially outer side of the band 16. In the reinforcing layer 18, a reinforcing cord 40 is extended alternately on and between one end 32 portion of the band 16 and the other end 32 portion of the band 16, so as to extend in the circumferential direction. A direction in which the reinforcing cord 40 extends is tilted relative to the circumferential direction between one of ends 32 of the band 16 and the other of the ends 32 of the band 16. An absolute value of an angle of the reinforcing cord 40 relative to the circumferential direction is greater than or equal to 70.
REDUCED WEIGHT AIRCRAFT TIRE
A pneumatic tire having a carcass and a belt reinforcing structure, the belt reinforcing structure comprising: a zigzag belt reinforcing structure formed of a strip of one or more reinforcement cords, the strip of one or more reinforcement cords being inclined at 5 to 30 degrees relative to the centerplane of the tire extending in alternation to turnaround points at each lateral edge, wherein the zigzag strip of cords may be formed from two different reinforcement cords made of different materials, and the lateral edges of the strip are preferably pointed or triangular in shape.
Protective Crown Reinforcement For Aeroplane Tire
Protective reinforcement (3) for a tire has a mean radial thickness T at least equal to two times the diameter D of a reinforcer (4), the protective reinforcement (3) comprises respectively on its radially interior face (31) and on its radially exterior face (32) parts (7) made of elastomeric compound having an axial width W at least equal to the diameter D of a reinforcer (4), and the path of any reinforcer (4), in the circumferential direction (XX) of the tire, varies radially between the radially interior first face (31) and the radially exterior second face (32), in such a way that the set of paths of the reinforcers (4) of the protective reinforcement (3) constitutes a three-dimensional lattice.
DURABLE TIRES AND RELATED METHODS
A tire may include a bead portion, a carcass, an apex, a belt package, and three gum layers. The carcass may be anchored around the bead core of the bead portion and may comprise a carcass plies portion and a turnup portion. The apex may be located between the carcass plies portion and the turnup portion. The belt package may be arranged between the carcass and a tread. The gum layers may include (a) a sidewall gum layer that extends from a first end located at the apex along the carcass plies to a second end; (b) a wraparound gum layer that wraps around an end of a first inner zigzag belt structure of the belt package; and (c) a belt gum layer that extends from a first end located between the belt package and the carcass plies along the carcass plies to a second end.
Crown Reinforcement For Airplane Tire
Aeroplane tire (1) comprises a working reinforcement (2) radially between tread (3) and carcass reinforcement (4). Working reinforcement (2) includes a working biply (21) comprised of the zigzag circumferential winding of strip (5) of width W onto a cylindrical laying surface (6) of radius R, with its axis of revolution being axis of rotation (YY) of the tire, in a periodic curve (7) with period P and forming angle A with circumferential direction (XX) of the tire in equatorial plane (XZ) of the tire. The winding of strip (5) comprises N periods P of curve (7) over T circumferences 2R of surface (6). N is a whole number which satisfies the following conditions: (a) N*(W/sin A)=2R, (b) N*P=2R*T, where T is a whole number, (c) N*T is the lowest common multiple of N and T,
and the ratio T/N is at least equal to 1.8 and at most equal to 2.2.
Crown Reinforcement For An Airplane Tire
