Crown Reinforcement For An Airplane Tire
Airplane tire comprises working reinforcement (2) radially inside of tread (3) and radially outside of carcass reinforcement (4). working reinforcement (2) comprises working biply (21). The radially innermost working biply (21) has the greatest axial width (L.sub.T) and comprises two axial ends (E). Carcass reinforcement (4) comprises carcass layer (41). Distance (D) between axial end (E) of the radially innermost working biply (21) and its orthogonal projection (I) onto the radially outermost carcass layer (41) is at least equal to 8 mm. Distance (D) between point (F) of radially innermost working biply (21), axially inside of axial end (E) at a distance (L) equal to 25 mm, and its orthogonal projection (J) onto the radially outermost carcass layer (41) is at most equal to the distance (D) and is such that angle (A) equal to atan[(DD)/L] is at least equal to 12.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire of the present disclosure includes an endless belt with a rubber coated cord, formed by coating a belt cord with rubber, extending in a zigzag manner in the tire circumferential direction. In a developed view of the endless belt, an intersection formed by the belt cord intersecting at two bent portions, adjacent in the tire circumferential direction, of the rubber coated cord is designated as T, and a length L in the tire circumferential direction between two intersections T adjacent in the tire circumferential direction, a width W of the belt cord, and an inclination angle 1 of the belt cord relative to the tire circumferential direction at inclined extending portions of the rubber coated cord satisfy the relationships 5<110, and L<(3 W/tan(12)), or 10<145, and L<(3 W/tan(15)).
Pneumatic tire and a process to retread a tire
A pneumatic tire and a process to retread a tire is provided. The retreaded tire has a carcass and a crown region, wherein the crown region comprises a belt reinforcement structure located between the carcass and a tread. The retreaded tire further comprises a cementless cushion layer located radially outward of said belt reinforcement structure, and one or more reinforcement plies located radially outward of the cementless cushion layer. The one or more reinforcement plies is formed from a substantially continuous strip of reinforced elastomer which is wound from one side of the crown to the other side in a substantially continuous manner. The reinforcement ply may be formed from spirally winding the strip about the carcass, or one or more reinforcement plies may be formed from winding the strip about the carcass in a zigzag pattern.
