Submersible foliage planter and method of using same
A submersible foliage planter includes a growing medium; and a container including an inner pouch of fine porous material which encloses the growing medium therein and an outer pouch of course porous material which encloses the inner pouch therein, wherein the coarse porous material has an average pore size larger than that of the fine porous material, the fine porous material and course porous material are permeable by water and by a root system of an aquatic plant, and the course porous material is water insoluble.
Feeding Apparatuses and Methods for Plants
The invention provides components, structures, methods, and assemblies for applying feeding materials to plants. The invention may include a permeable structure constructed of a woven material incorporating nutrient-rich material (such as compost, fertilizers, soil amendments, soil supplements, or other material). The structure may be substantially closed around the edges and allow for the flow of water and other material therethrough to plants and surrounding vegetation.
PLANT CONTAINER
A plant container with one or more sides including a mesh for air pruning
PLANT GROWING APPARATUS
A plant growing apparatus comprising: a bag member including a bottom wall and at least one side wall; and a composition of soil. Wherein the at least one side wall is connected to and extends upwardly from the bottom wall. Wherein the at least one side wall includes a top portion defining an upper opening of said plant growing apparatus. Wherein the bottom wall and the at least one side wall are formed from a non-rigid flexible material. Wherein the bottom wall and said at least one side wall forms an interior volume. Wherein the composition of soil is located within the interior volume of the bag member.
Whole Plant Gas Exchange Chamber Using Pressurization and Ventilation of Separated Canopy and Root Zones
A whole plant gas exchange apparatus employs a chamber having a first region for accommodating a growth medium and a root system of a whole plant, and a second region accommodating a canopy of the plant. The regions are separated by a barrier, except for an opening through which the stem of the plant is accommodated. An air source supplies incoming air to the second region through an intake. An air outlet conveys outgoing air from the second region to a gas sensor for analysis of the outgoing air after photosynthetic interaction with the plant canopy. A vent communicates the first region of the chamber to an ambient environment outside the chamber. A resulting pressurized state of the second region is used to exhaust air from the first region through the vent in order to isolate this exhausted air from the analyzed canopy air.
SELF-SUPPORTING FABRIC POT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A self-supporting fabric container is provided. The container can be made of a fabric that has binder and base fibers. The container can be manufactured by forming a container shaped from a production fabric and heating the production fabric to a temperature between the melting points of the base and binder fibers. The product fabric is cooled thereafter to form a rigid, self-supporting fabric pot.
STORM WATER FILTER AND COMPONENTS THEREOF AND METHODS OF INSTALLATION AND USE
A storm water drain filter including a collapsible frame supporting a filter bag. The filter may be installed in a stormwater drain pit to capture contaminants and particulate matter before it enters a stormwater drain. The collapsible frame is light weight, compact, simple and inexpensive. The filter bag is secured to the frame so as to maintain its shape and avoid deformation. There is also disclosed a method of installing a stormwater drain filter in a stormwater drain pit to provide an effective seal between the stormwater drain filter and the pit.
Modular Basin Apparatus
A modular basin apparatus includes a first panel, a second panel and a third panel. The panels include a plurality of slots that receive portions of the other panels. A user may assemble the panels to form a three-dimensional basin apparatus. A concave cavity is formed on the upper side of the apparatus when assembled, and the cavity may be receive materials depending on the application of the assembly. In some embodiments, the apparatus may be used as a modular fire pit, chair, table, or other device. A fourth panel may rest against the first, second and third panels to provide an upper surface. In some embodiments, all panels include the same planform profile and outer dimensions such that they may be stacked in an arrangement having a uniform outer profile for improved transport and storage.
Metal planter assembly
The present invention discloses a collapsible metal planter. The planter has a plurality of wall sections. Each wall section side portion has a first end portion and an opposing second end portion. The end portions are angularly disposed inwards. Each first end portion has a first edge with a V-shaped notch positioned in vertical orientation. Each second end portion has a second edge with a V-shaped notch positioned in vertical orientation opposite to that of the first edge notch. The first edge notch and second edge notch form a square orifice when the first end portion of a wall section is placed in abutment with the second end portion of an adjacent wall section. The square orifice is receivable of a fastener to secure the adjacent wall sections together.
