Pneumatic tyre, tyre mold and method for manufacturing pneumatic tyre using the same
A pneumatic tyre includes a tread portion being provided with a land portion divided by a main groove extending continuously in a tyre circumferential direction. The land portion is provided with two or more sipes having a width less than 1.5 mm on a ground contacting surface of the land portion and two or more groove elements having a width equal to or more than 1.5 mm on the ground contacting surface. Lengths in a tyre axial direction of the groove elements are equal to or less than 15% of a maximum width in the tyre axial direction of the ground contacting surface of the land portion, and at least one of the sipes is in communication with one of the groove elements.
Pneumatic vehicle tyre
A pneumatic vehicle tire having a tread with profile blocks (4) formed by circumferential or diagonal grooves (1) and by transverse grooves (2), said profile blocks (4) each being provided with at least one sipe (5) that is straight or slightly curved in plan view, extends at least substantially parallel to the transverse grooves (2) and has a width of 0.3 mm to 2.0 mm, wherein the sipe (5) is bounded by two sipe walls (6), and wherein at least one protrusion (8) is provided on each of the otherwise unstructured sipe walls (6). The protrusion (8) formed on one sipe wall (6) is offset in the direction of extent of the sipe (5) with respect to the protrusion (8) formed on the other sipe wall (6), without a mutual overlap.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A tread pattern of a pneumatic tire includes circumferential grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction and sipes disposed at intervals in the tire circumferential direction in each of land portion regions in contact with the circumferential grooves, the sipes extending in a tire width direction. At least one of the land portion regions includes a first sipe and a second sipe disposed to be adjacent to the first sipe in the tire circumferential direction as the sipe, the sipe region being provided in at least a partial region in the tire width direction. A sipe width of the second sipe is wider than a sipe width of the first sipe. The sipe region is not provided with a lug groove having a wider groove width than the sipe width of the second sipe, the lug groove extending in the tire width direction.
Tyre
A tyre includes a tread portion including an outboard middle land portion disposed between an outboard tread edge and a tyre equator. The outboard middle land portion includes first and second longitudinal edges, outboard middle lateral grooves extending from the first longitudinal edge and having terminal ends within the outboard middle land portion, first outboard middle sipes extending from the respective terminal ends of the outboard middle lateral grooves to the second longitudinal edge, and second outboard middle sipes extending from the first longitudinal edge toward the second longitudinal edge beyond the terminal ends of the outboard middle lateral grooves and terminating within the outboard middle land portion. The outboard middle land portion is not provided with any lateral grooves that extend from the second longitudinal edge toward the first longitudinal edge to reach an axial center location of the outboard middle land portion.
Tread for a pneumatic tire
A tread for a tire includes: a first tread zone extending circumferentially, continuously, and entirely around the tire, the first tread zone being formed of a first compound; a second tread zone extending circumferentially, continuously, and entirely around the tire, the second tread zone being formed of a second compound different from the first compound; and a boundary groove axially separating the first tread zone from the second tread zone, the first tread zone, the second tread zone, and the boundary groove entirely forming the tread, the boundary groove having an axial centerline disposed an axial distance from an equatorial plane of the tire. The first tread zone has a first circumferential groove and a sidewall portion defining an intermediate circumferential rib of the first tread zone and a shoulder circumferential rib of the first tread zone.
