SPRING AID ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A spring aid assembly for a vehicle suspension system. The spring aid assembly includes: a housing having a generally cylindrical cavity formed therein, a damper including a rod extending through a cap, and a spring aid having a proximal end retained within the cavity of the housing, a distal end extending in an axial direction away from the housing, and an outer circumferential groove formed therein. The cavity in the housing is bounded by a generally cylindrical inner peripheral wall that has a plurality of axially and radially extending projections extending therefrom. A ring is positioned in the outer circumferential groove of the spring aid. The ring provides a positive stop to the spring aid assembly and prevents the cap of the damper from coming into direct contact with the housing during full compression of the damper.
VEHICLE
A utility vehicle with ergonomic, safety, and maintenance features is disclosed. A vehicle is also disclosed with improved cooling, suspension and drive systems. These features enhance the utility of the vehicle.
DEVICE AND APPARATUS FOR THE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT OF A ROAD VEHICLE AND RELATIVE ROAD VEHICLE
A device for the height adjustment of a road vehicle interposed between a frame and a suspension of the road vehicle so as to allow the vehicle to shift from a road configuration to a race configuration and vice versa. The device comprises a base body provided with a first end, which can mechanically be connected to the frame of the road vehicle; a first mass, which can be connected to the base body so as to be movable along a sliding axis; a second mass, which is connected to the first mass so as to be movable along the sliding axis as well and is configured to be able to be connected to a suspension of the road vehicle and to change the stroke of the suspension depending on the position of the second movable mass.
THRUST BEARING FOR VEHICLE
A thrust bearing for a vehicle includes an upper case that abuts against a vehicle body-side attaching portion and a lower case on which the upper case is provided so that the lower case is rotatable with respect to the upper case about an axial center AX of a piston rod used in a shock absorber of a suspension of the vehicle, characterized in that the thrust bearing further includes a load sensor for measuring a load vertically acting on the suspension.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING A BASE OF A SPRING ELEMENT FOR A VEHICLE
A device for adjusting a foot point of a vehicle spring element includes a first wall element for connecting to a vehicle, a second wall element spaced from the first wall element and connecting to the spring element, and a chamber disposed between the first wall element and the second wall element for changing the distance between the first wall element and the second wall element by changing a volume of the chamber, the chamber having an incompressible fluid and the first and/or second wall element including a passage opening for the incompressible fluid to the chamber. In embodiments, the passage opening is fluidly connectable to a supply/discharge device for the incompressible fluid, and the chamber has a chamber wall with a third wall element extending from the first wall element to the second wall element, the mass of which is constant when the volume of the chamber is changed.
SUSPENSION THRUST BEARING DEVICE
The invention concerns a suspension thrust bearing for use with a suspension spring in an automotive suspension strut. The suspension thrust bearing provides a bearing with an annular upper part and a annular lower part in relative rotation one to the other, a lower support surface being provided by the lower part that axially supports an upper end of a suspension spring by the intermediate of a damping device made from resilient material. The resilient material of the damping device is molten in its preformed state with gas. After being molded, the molten material of the damping device provides an outer skinny layer and an inner foam body, the density of the outer skinny layer being strictly greater than the density of the inner foam body.
THRUST SLIDING BEARING
A thrust sliding bearing reduces the number of components to thereby reduce the burden of assembly and components management and prevents unusual wear of a surface of an annular synthetic resin-made sliding bearing piece, which faces an annular metal plate. A thrust sliding bearing comprises an upper case which is integrally formed at least by an annular upper case base having an annular bottom surface and by an upper case cylindrical portion which is provided vertically from the annular bottom surface of the upper case base to be fitted in a lower case, wherein a synthetic resin-made sliding bearing piece is fixed to the inner side of the upper case cylindrical portion.
Suspension support bracket and method for manufacturing suspension support bracket
In a suspension support bracket including a bracket body including a suspension attachment portion configured such that a shock absorber of a suspension device of a vehicle is attached to the suspension attachment portion, the bracket body is constructed of a single metal plate, and thickness dimensions of a region of the suspension attachment portion of the bracket body and a periphery of the suspension attachment portion are larger than a thickness dimension of another region adjacent to the region of the suspension attachment portion and periphery of the suspension attachment portion.
Suspension thrust bearing device and suspension strut equiped with such a device
A suspension thrust bearing device for use with a suspension spring in an automotive suspension strut of a vehicle. The device includes a bearing having upper and lower annular bearing members in relative rotation, the lower annular bearing member, and a damping element. An axial stiffening insert in a hub of lower annular bearing member provides a lower end curved towards the interior of the device. Lower annular bearing member has at least one slender groove opening radially outwards and having a bottom end opening axially downwards, the damping element providing a portion fitted within the slender groove.
DAMPER MOUNT ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE AND DAMPER MOUNT
A damper mount structure improves accuracy of positioning to increase assembling efficiency and includes a damper mount for fixing an upper portion of a suspension device to an attachment opening formed in a vehicle body. The damper mount includes: a housing to be mounted on the upper portion of the suspension device; a stay which protrudes from an outer circumferential surface of the housing and is brought in contact with a lower surface of a circumferential edge of the attachment opening in a state that the housing has been inserted through the attachment opening to attach the housing to the circumferential edge of the attachment opening; and a plurality of ribs which connect the stay with an outer circumferential surface of the housing. A first rib, a second rib, and a third rib include side surfaces, respectively, facing an inner circumferential surface of the attachment opening.
