THREE-WHEEL MOTOR VEHICLE AND CONTROL SYSTEM
A three-wheeled vehicle having a front wheel assembly attached to a chassis. The chassis includes a rotational control shaft having a rotational axis that is generally directed in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The rotational control shaft is integrated with or secured to the chassis in a non-rotational manner and passes through the front wheel assembly in a rotationally-free manner, such that the rotational control shaft can rotate about its rotational axis. The front wheel assembly includes one or more lean control motors, which are operably configured to rotate the rotational control shaft about its rotational axis thereby causing the chassis to lean from side to side to improve the handling ability of the vehicle. Some embodiments include a lean control system configured to automatically control the degree of rotation of the chassis.
ROLL VIBRATION DAMPING CONTROL SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE AND TARGET ROLL MOMENT COMPUTING METHOD THEREFOR
A roll vibration damping control system includes an electronic control unit configured to: compute a sum of a product of a roll moment of inertia and a roll angular acceleration of a vehicle body, a product of a roll damping coefficient and a first-order integral of the roll angular acceleration, and a product of an equivalent roll stiffness of the vehicle and a second-order integral of the roll angular acceleration, as a controlled roll moment to be applied to the vehicle body; compute a roll moment around a center of gravity of a sprung mass as a correction roll moment, the roll moment being generated by lateral force on wheels due to roll motion; and compute a target roll moment based on a value obtained by correcting the controlled roll moment with the correction roll moment.
Electric suspension device
Provided is an electric suspension device including an electromagnetic actuator that is provided between a body and wheel of a vehicle and generates a load for damping vibration of the body. It includes: a camera that detects preview image information of a road surface in front of the vehicle; a 3D gyro sensor that detects a sprung speed of the vehicle; a target load computation unit that computes a target load based on the preview image information and the sprung speed; and a load control unit that controls the load of the actuator by using the computed target load. When a detection result based on the preview image information indicates that the front road surface is even but a detection result based on the sprung speed indicates that the front road surface is uneven, the target load computation unit computes the target load based on the sprung speed.

Included are an electromagnetic actuator which includes an electric motor configured to generate drive forces for a damping operation and a telescopic operation; an information acquirer which acquires a stroke velocity of the electromagnetic actuator; a drive force arithmetic part which includes a damping force calculator configured to calculate a target damping force and a telescopic force calculator configured to calculate a target telescopic force, and which obtains a target drive force based on the target damping force and the target telescopic force; and a drive controller which controls drive of the electric motor using the target drive force. The drive force arithmetic part includes an adjuster which performs an adjustment to reduce a telescopic control amount for the target telescopic force based on the stroke velocity acquired by the information acquirer.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO DETERMINE VEHICLE WEIGHT
Methods and apparatus to determine vehicle weight are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a suspension airbag, a pump fluidly coupled to the suspension airbag, the pump to control a fluid pressure in the suspension airbag to cause ride height adjustments for a vehicle, a motor operatively coupled to the pump, and processor circuitry to calculate a weight of the vehicle based on an offset between (a) a first motor input that causes the vehicle to rise or lower when the vehicle is unloaded and (b) a second motor input that causes the vehicle to rise or lower when the vehicle is carrying a load.

The present invention relates to an actuator system with a magnetic lead screw, comprises a magnetic rotor and a translator cylinder, the translator cylinder comprises a magnetic stator, the translator cylinder has a closed first end and a second end confined by a lid, the lid having a shaft opening for a shaft coupled to the magnetic rotor, wherein the magnetic rotor, when inserted in the translator cylinder, is arranged to translate a linear movement of the translator cylinder into a rotational movement of the magnetic rotor by using magnetic flux interacting between the magnetic stator and the magnetic rotor, said rotational movements is being transferred through a shaft, the lid with a shaft opening arranged for receiving the shaft, wherein the shaft is arranged to make both the linear and the rotational movement in the shaft opening, the lid being arranged for confining the second end of the translator cylinder, the translator cylinder confined by the lid forms, when divided by the magnetic rotor, a first chamber with a first volume and a second chamber with a second volume, wherein the first volume and the second volume changes as a function of the linear movement. The invention also relates to a method of operating an actuator system with a magnetic lead screw.
