The present disclosure provides systems and methods for animal health monitoring. Load data can be obtained from an animal monitoring device including three or more load sensors associated with a platform carrying contained litter thereabove, wherein individual load sensors of the three or more load sensors are separated from one another and receive pressure input from the platform independent of one another, wherein the three or more load sensors individually sample loads at from 2.5 Hz to 110 Hz. An animal behavior property associated with the animal can be recognized if it is determined based on load data that the interaction with the contained litter was due to the animal interaction with the contained litter. The animal behavior property can be classified into an animal classified event using a machine learning classifier.
Agricultural drone for use in livestock feeding
A method and system utilizing one or more agricultural drones for real-time monitoring, delivery and dispensing of feed in feed bunks associated with feed lots.
Livestock health monitoring system having temperature monitoring positioned through a rotational device and methods of use
An animal wellness notification system includes an attachment body configured to securely engage with an ear of the animal; an elongated temperature probe secured to the attachment body and configured to extend within the ear of the animal; a housing secured to the attachment body; a computer disposed within the housing and operably associated with the temperature probe; and a notification device in data communication with the computer, the notification device being configured to provide notice if a temperature of the animal goes beyond a determined threshold.
System and method of estimating livestock weight
A system and method for estimating livestock weight is described. Embodiments of the system can include a computing device and a three-dimensional tag configured to be secured to an animal. One or more images of an animal, including the three-dimensional tag, can be processed to take various measurements of the animal. A scaling factor for the measurements can be based on the three-dimensional tag. After the measurement are calibrated, a weight of the animal can be estimated based on the calibrated measurements.
Improving detection, prevention, and reaction in a warning system for animal farrowing operations
A detector for detecting a signal from one or more feeders. A processor is in communication with the can be configured with an artificial intelligence module and a library of pre-recorded action events and for comparing the signal with the library of pre-recorded action events and determining a likely action event. A warning device can be in communication with the processor for providing an output in response to the likely action event. At least one false positive sensor in communication with either the processor or the warning device or both of the processor and the warning device can be used for stopping the output from the warning device upon a predetermined condition.
Livestock feed proximity and unmetabolised pharmaceutical monitoring system
Techniques for monitoring the individual feed and water intake and pharmaceutical use and unmetabolized residual alerting in the livestock industry. Livestock have sensors installed on or in their bodies to detect consumption of feed and water for each animal in an environment where multiple animals are present. Sensors communicate data regarding the duration and timing of individual animals feeding habits. Health and efficiency status data is recorded per animal and analyzed to determine whether to issue an alert indicating problems with individual animals. The system tracks the health and efficiency data for each animal, pen or farm and generates statistical information regarding the sensor data. The system communicates with user interface to display notifications and statistical data. In addition, the pharmaceutical monitoring system alerts when any unmetabolized residual pharmaceuticals are still in the animals when the animal is being readied for shipping to a packing plant.
SENSOR POSITIONING SYSTEM
A sensor positioning system, includes an actuation server for communicating with components of the sensor positioning system. The sensor positioning system additionally includes a first actuation system and a second actuation system, wherein each actuation system includes a pulley system for maneuvering an underwater sensor system. The sensor positioning system includes a dual point attachment bracket that connects through a first line to the first actuation system and connecting through a second line to the second actuation system. The underwater sensor system is affixed to the first pulley system, the second pulley system, and the dual attachment bracket through the first line and the second line.
SORTING ANIMALS BASED ON NON-INVASIVE DETERMINATION OF ANIMAL CHARACTERISTICS
Methods and systems are disclosed for improvements in aquaculture that allow for increasing the number and growth efficiency of fish in an aquaculture setting (or other animals in other settings) by identifying or predicting characteristics of the animals based on visual or ultrasound images of the animals obtained through non-invasive means. The animals are sorted based on the characteristics.
ANIMAL WEARABLE TRACKER DEVICE AND RELATED METHODS
An animal collar device may include a circuit board, a sensing component carried by the circuit board and configured to collect data about an animal, a first elongate patch antenna carried by the circuit board and having a first longitudinal side and a second longitudinal side opposing the first longitudinal side, and a first end and a second end opposing the first end. The first and second ends are between the first and second longitudinal sides. The second longitudinal side may include a slots. The animal collar device may include a processor carried by the circuit board and coupled to the sensing component and the first elongate patch antenna, the processor configured to communicate the data about the animal to a base station and a mobile device.
A CONTROL DEVICE, A LIGHTING SYSTEM, AND A METHOD
The invention relates to pre-conditioning an animal(s) to (the risk of) heat stress. The invention provides a control device for controlling a lighting device to illuminate at least one animal in a space, wherein the control device is configured to: obtain prediction data indicative of a value of an environmental condition in said space during a future time period; determine said value of the environmental condition based on the prediction data; determine a prediction of heat stress of the at least one animal in said space during the future time period if said value of the environmental condition falls within a predefined limit for heat stress; control, upon determining said prediction of heat stress, a lighting device to illuminate the at least one animal in said space with a lighting characteristic at least partly before said future time period.
