The invention relates to a suspension system of a vehicle axle, comprising:—a leaf spring (11);—a rear attachment device which is configured to be secured to a vehicle frame (2) and which receives a rear end portion (14) of the leaf spring (11) so as to allow said leaf spring rear end portion to slide longitudinally relative to the rear attachment device; wherein:—the rear attachment device (24) comprises a fastener (26) extending substantially transversally and a pad (28) secured on the rear attachment device above the fastener;—the leaf spring rear end portion (14) is substantially flat and has an upper face (15) in contact with the pad (28) and a lower face (16);—and the suspension system further comprises a retaining member (30) which is a piece separate from the leaf spring (11). The retaining member (30) is secured to and under the leaf spring rear end portion (14) by a fixing element (50) located rearward of the pad (28), the retaining member (30) including a front wall (33) arranged forward of the fastener (26), and configured to abut against the fastener (26) in order to prevent a rearward movement of the leaf spring (11) relative to the rear attachment device (24) above a predetermined limit.

Stabilizer bar and stabilization method

The invention relates to stabilizer bar (10) for use with the suspension of a vehicle such as a truck. The stabilizer bar (10) comprises a shaft (12) supported by bearings (18), cranked parts for example in the form of crank arms (30) being provided at or adjacent each end of the shaft (12), each cranked part having a connection point (32) for connection, in use, to a respective link member (34), wherein each connection point (32) is substantially aligned with a respective one of the bearings (18) relative to the axis of the shaft (12). The invention also relates to a vehicle incorporating such a stabilizer bar (10) and to a roll stabilization method using such a stabilizer bar (10).

Vehicle suspension

A vehicle suspension for supporting the body or chassis of a vehicle includes suspension arms positioned at opposite sides and at one end of a vehicle and two suspension arms positioned respectively at opposite sides and at one end of a vehicle, each arm mounted for pivotal movement about a respective hinge axis. A balancing hub is attached to the vehicle body or chassis with at least one part of the hub free to rotate relative to the vehicle body or chassis about at least one pivotal position. Each suspension arm is connected to the hub at a position of the suspension arm spaced from a respective hinge axis whereby pivotal movement of the suspension arm applies a force to the hub. In use, the force opposes the force from another suspension arm at at least one of the same side and the same end of the vehicle suspension.

Vehicle Overload Suspension System
20220105768 · 2022-04-07 ·

An overload suspension system configured for operative engagement to a vehicle having a first leaf spring and second leaf spring to provide auxiliary support to the vehicle when overloaded. A first control arm attached to a first torsion bar has a distal end positioned a separation distance from the first leaf spring. A second control arm attached to the second control arm has a distal end positioned substantially the same separation distance from the second leaf spring. The suspension system operates as an auxiliary suspension only when added weight to the vehicle deflects both leaf springs to contact a respective one of the control arms, thereby preserving the ride and suspension characteristics of the vehicle when the added weight is not present.

Suspension system for vehicle with composite spring

A suspension system for a vehicle with a composite spring may include: a first longitudinally mounted spring 10 and a second longitudinally mounted spring 20 generating vertical stiffness of a vehicle; and a transversely mounted spring 30 generating roll stiffness and connected to the first and second longitudinally mounted springs. In particular, the transversely mounted spring 30 is connected to a vehicle body 1 by a support member 40. Stiffness of the vehicle may be further strengthened during a longitudinal behavior and a rolling behavior of the vehicle, and thus, running stability may be significantly enhanced.

Suspension system

An axle assembly for a vehicle includes an axle beam and a suspension system. The suspension system includes a mounting member, at least one positioning member, and at least one coupling member configured to cooperate to maintain a position of a working component. The mounting member having at least one aperture formed therein is freely disposed on the axle beam and the at least one coupling member is disposed through the at least one aperture of the mounting member and entirely outside the axle beam.

SPRING HANGER FOR TRAILER FRAME

A spring hanger assembly may be formed pieces shaped to increase the stiffness and strength. The spring hanger assembly may comprise separate pieces, such as an inner section and an outer section. The spring hanger assembly may be attached to a frame using fasteners or hucks.

ADJUSTABLE FLOATING TRACTION BAR

An adjustable floating traction bar is disclosed. The traction bar comprises a rigid body having a threaded portion on a first distal end to receive a threaded eyelet having a spherical joint to provide a connection point to an axle of a vehicle. The traction bar further comprises an opposing distal slip end being machined and fitted with a UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) polyethylene bushing that acts as a slip-joint the slip joint having a first end that mounts to the UHMW polyethylene bushing of the tubular body and an opposing end having an eyelet to provide a connection point to a vehicle frame. A two-stage nested coil spring located inside the slip end of the rigid body that rests against the slip joint end when it is inserted into rigid body. .
