The trailing arm includes a vehicle body side attachment portion attached to the vehicle body, and a hub side attachment portion attached to the hub support portion. The hub side attachment portion is positioned below a shortest virtual line connecting a center of the vehicle body side attachment portion and a rotation center of the wheel hub.

A vehicle strut assembly includes at least a strut member, a bearing assembly, a mounting bracket and a noise isolating member. The bearing assembly encircles an upper end portion of the strut member. The mounting bracket is configured to receive the bearing assembly with mounting bracket encircling the upper end portion of the strut member and further configured to attach to a portion of a vehicle body assembly of a vehicle. The noise isolating member is installed below the mounting bracket and along a surface of the bearing assembly reducing noises transmitted from the vehicle strut assembly to the portion of the vehicle body assembly.

In one example, a system for the vehicle may include a wheel hub assembly coupled to a frame of the vehicle via a first wishbone arm and a second wishbone arm, and an air spring coupled at opposite ends to a first link and a second link, each of the first link and the second link being pivotably coupled to the frame of the vehicle, the second link further being pivotably coupled to the first wishbone arm. The air spring may be positioned above the wheel hub assembly with respect to the vehicle.

An apparatus and methods are provided for a modular front drivetrain comprising a single assembly that may be installed onto and removed from a vehicle. The modular front drivetrain comprises a modular chassis supporting a transaxle, a front differential, and a steering gear for operating front wheels of the vehicle. The transaxle, the front differential and drive axles convey torque from an engine onboard the vehicle to the front wheels. A spindle assembly is coupled with each front wheel of the vehicle and pivotally joined with the modular chassis by way of a front suspension system. Steering rods coupled with the spindle assemblies horizontally rotate the front wheels according to operation of a steering wheel onboard the vehicle. The modular front drivetrain advantageously facilitates replacing an entire drivetrain and suspension assembly quickly and easily in the event of a part failure during racing applications.
