A suspension element includes a housing, a first joint, and a second joint. The housing is configured to couple a tractive element assembly to a vehicle. The housing has a first end configured to engage a portion of the vehicle and a second end configured to interface with the tractive element assembly. The first joint includes a first actuator and a first resilient member. The first actuator is configured to facilitate linear extension and retraction of the suspension element. The second joint includes a second actuator and a second resilient member. The second actuator is configured to facilitate rotational movement of the suspension element. The first resilient member and the second resilient member are configured to support a static load of the vehicle.
Sliding pillar suspension system
Some embodiments may provide a suspension unit that may include a rail having a longitudinal axis, a sliding member slidably connected to the rail, and shock absorption and springing means adapted to damp motions and support forces along the longitudinal axis of the rail, wherein, the rail and the sliding member are shaped to have transverse cross-sectional profiles that prevent a rotational movement of the sliding member with respect to the rail about the longitudinal axis of the rail. In some embodiments, the suspension unit may be part of an in-wheel system further including at least a steering unit.
Mounting assembly for a steerable wheel with variable track width
A wheel-mounting assembly for an agricultural utility vehicle includes a chassis and a telescopic axle arrangement fixed to the chassis. The telescopic axle arrangement includes an inner axle telescopically received in an outer axle, which is fixed to the chassis. A wheel-support assembly is mounted to an outboard end of the inner axle. A steering-control actuator is connected between the inner axle and the wheel-support assembly. The steering-control actuator is connected to the inner axle through an opening provided in the outer axle, which allows the steering-control actuator to translate together with the inner axle when track width is adjusted.
Mobile mechanism and mobile robot having same, and mobile method
A mobile mechanism, a mobile robot having the mobile mechanism and a method for moving the mobile robot are disclosed. The mobile mechanism includes a housing in which a guide portion is provided, a sliding seat mounted on the guide portion and movable along the guide portion, a moving wheel fixed on the sliding seat and partially protruding beyond a surface of the housing, a pressing portion pressing against the sliding seat and moving the sliding seat toward the surface of the housing; and a deformation portion mounted on the housing and connected with the pressing portion, exerting a force for moving the sliding seat towards the surface of the housing through the pressing portion when deformed.
Relative guide device for a steering arrangement arranged on the wheel-carrier side
A relative guide device (1) for a steering arrangement (31) is arranged on the wheel-carrier side for the spatial guidance and maintenance of the relative spatial orientation of the steering arrangement (31) with respect to a vehicle body (40). At least one telescopic movement apparatus (2) for movably connecting the steering arrangement (31) is arranged on the wheel-carrier side to the vehicle body (40). A steering force transmission device (30) transmits a steering force to a wheel (R) of a vehicle having a relative guide device (1), and to a wheel suspension (50) for a vehicle.
DUAL-AXLE WHEELS SUSPENSION
A suspension system for a dual-axle wheels assembly, including a sub-frame, a first arm connected to the sub-frame and rotatable with respect to the sub-frame about a first axis, a first connector connected to the first arm and having a first connector axis about which a first wheel rotates when connected to the first connector, the first connector axis is parallel to the first axis, a second arm connected to the sub-frame and rotatable with respect to the sub-frame about a second axis that is parallel to the first axis, a second connector connected to the second arm and having a second connector axis about which a second wheel rotates when connected to the second connector, the second connector axis is parallel to the second axis, and a motion restrainer comprising a spring and a damper and interconnecting the first arm and the second ram.
