MODULAR GROW CHAMBER CONSTRUCTIONS AND RELATED GROWING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Growing systems may include a number of modular growing chambers with integrated support columns that eliminate the need for an external support frame and which provide a simple way to remove chambers from a stack for harvesting. The chambers can be assembled around a growing plant. Pins provided on the support columns ensure alignment and provide for easy removal of a lower chamber by first supporting the stack and slightly lowering it relative to the stack. The chamber structure supports harvesting processes that permit harvesting of a chamber simply by shifting it relative to the stack and supporting the other chambers in a vertical position and shifting the chambers. A portable shifting device may provide automated support, shifting and removal of one or more chambers for harvesting.
PROTECTIVE TREE TUBE, METHOD, AND REVETMENT USING TREE CONTAINED IN SAME
A protective tree tube has an elongated hollow body that is made of a biodegradable material, and has holes formed in the wall of the tube. The tube can be filled, at a bottom portion, with drainage material, and on top of the drainage material a planting material can be provided in which the root ball of a tree is placed. Upon placing the protective tree tube with the tree into a planting hole, the protective tree tube ca be buried and thereafter the tree will commence forming new rootage and become established.
Adhesive membrane used to preserve the fresh cut characteristics of a christmas tree base
A membrane for covering the cut end of a tree trunk to prevent the tree from creating a seal after it has been cut. The membrane is attachable to the cut end surface of the tree trunk and includes a hydrating layer comprising a hydrogel. The hydrogel, made up primarily of water, adheres to the cut end surface of the tree trunk to continue hydrating the tree, and prevents air from reaching the tree's exposed transport tissue. In some embodiments, the membrane includes a backing layer and a release layer on opposite sides of the hydrating layer.
VINEYARD FRUIT PROTECTION APPARATUS AND PROCESS
A netting system for protecting vine fruit in a fruit zone from destruction by birds in which a net tunnel is formed around the fruit zone away from the fruit.
SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR PROTECTING FRUIT CLUSTERS FROM BIRDS, SQUIRRELS, DEER AND OTHER CREATURES WHILE GROWING ALONG THE BRANCHES OF FRUIT TREES
A light-transmissive fruit protection case for installation about a cluster of fruit pieces hanging from stems along or at an end portion of a tree branch. The light-transmissive fruit protection case comprises first and second case housing portions connected about a common flexible hinge structure. The first and second case housing portions each have side, top and bottom surfaces. A plurality of air and water openings formed about the side, top and bottom surfaces of the first and second case housing portions. First and second branch access ports are formed on opposing ends of the first and second case housing portions, along its longitudinal axis, so as to allow the entry and passage of a fruit tree branch. A set of reclosable fasteners are formed on the side end portions of the first and second case housing portions to releasably lock the case in its closed configuration once arranged about a cluster of fruit hanging from the tree branch.
Plant edging
A plant edging is disclosed herein that has an inner side and an outer side and includes a sidewall having a top end and a bottom end with the bottom end configured to engage soil, a head connected to the top end of the sidewall, and a rib connected to and extending away from the outer side near the bottom end of the sidewall. The plant edging is arranged to substantially seal an opening in a landscaping barrier film, and to define a partial enclosure that inhibits ingrowth of invasive weeds.
TREEFALL PREVENTION TOOL AND TREEFALL PREVENTING METHOD
Provided is a treefall preventing device capable of reliably preventing a planted tree from falling A treefall preventing device 1 is buried in soil such that roots 32 entwine the treefall preventing device 1 as a planted tree 30 grows, wherein the treefall preventing device 1 comprises three or more supporting parts 2 extending in parallel with each other and ring-like retaining bodies 4 supported by the supporting parts 2, and the retaining bodies 4 are secured so as to be placed at intervals along the supporting parts 2. The treefall preventing device 1 is disposed in the bottom part of a planting hole 12, secured by pile members 20, and then buried, and a tree 30 is planted above the buried treefall preventing device 1.
EXPANDABLE, CONFIGURABLE, DISASSEMBLABLE STRUCTURE FOR CREATING BARRIERS OR ENCLOSURES FOR LANDSCAPING....
A frame includes a first frame assembly, where the first frame assembly includes an arm member having a first and second end, a leg member having a first and second end, a first fitting connecting the first end of the arm and leg members at an angle, and a flexible panel fastened to the arm and leg members. A method of building a frame includes assembling a first frame assembly by connecting a first end of an arm member having a first and second end with a first end of a leg member having a first and second end, at an angle using a first fitting, and fastening a first flexible panel to the arm and leg members.
Container for growing plants
A container can be used for growing a plant having roots. The container can comprise a rectangular sheet having an upper edge, a lower edge, a first side edge and a second side edge. The first side edge and the second side edge are joined forming a cylinder. The upper edge is configured to rest above a ground surface such that vertical root growth is substantially uninhibited by the container above the ground surface. An inward contoured lip can be formed into the lower edge. The rectangular sheet from the upper edge to the inward contoured lip constrains lateral growth of the roots of the plant above the ground surface while vertical root growth is completely uninhibited by the container below the inward contoured lip.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS ASSOCIATED WITH GROWING A GOURD
A process to create a container from a gourd that includes a hollow internal chamber.
