METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING A VEHICLE CLIMATE SYSTEM
A method of controlling a vehicle climate system having a plurality of zones, wherein the plurality of zones includes a primary zone for a driver of the vehicle and one or more secondary zones for one or more passengers of the vehicle, the method including determining whether one or more of the plurality of zones is occupied by a person, receiving data indicative of a target temperature of each of the occupied zones, receiving data indicative of a target temperature in the primary zone, determining when one or more of the occupied zones becomes unoccupied, and adjusting the target temperature of one or more of the unoccupied zones to an adjusted target temperature. The adjusted target temperature is a function of the target temperature in the primary zone.
Energy management computer system
The disclosure provides an energy management system that is based on a distributed architecture that includes networked energy management devices located at a plurality of sites and a collection of energy management program applications and modules implemented by a centralized energy management service unit. The energy management program applications and modules are responsible for facilitating customer access to the system, configuring energy management devices, and collecting, storing, and analyzing energy management data collected from the plurality of sites. The energy management system is adaptable to a wide variety of energy usage requirements and enables customers to configure energy management devices at customer sites using scheduling templates, to define and customize site groupings for device configuration and data analysis purposes, and to request and view various statistical views of collected energy usage data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPLEMENTING USER PREFERENCES FOR VEHICLES
Systems and method are provided for implementing user preferences for vehicles. In one embodiment, a method for implementing user preferences for vehicles includes receiving preferences of a user with respect to vehicle settings pertaining to a plurality of vehicles; and implementing, via instructions provided by a processor, the user's preferences for the vehicle settings when a user is set to occupy a vehicle of the plurality of vehicles.
LOAD MANAGEMENT TO EXTEND ELECTRIC VEHICLE RANGE
A vehicle includes a controller that prompts a user to confirm a willingness to accept a reduced maximum acceleration or speed responsive to user confirmation of a desire to increase an electric drive range by a user selected amount. The controller further operates a propulsion system with the reduced maximum acceleration or speed to increase the electric drive range responsive to user confirmation of the willingness.
Airflow Control System For An Agricultural Machine
Agricultural machines such as sprayers can be improved by providing a control system configured to adjust an engine cooling package fan with variable speeds, to thereby minimize parasitic losses, based on progress of the HVAC system for attaining a desired temperature in the operator cab. In one aspect, as a gap between actual and desired temperatures (temperature differential) in the cab minimizes, the cooling package fan can be variably adjusted to increase or decrease in speed, depending on heating or cooling occurring in the cab, respectively. However, if a temperature of an area in the engine compartment reaches a predetermined threshold, such variable speed control can cease, and the cooling package fan can instead be controlled to cool the area.
VEHICLE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A vehicle climate control system is provided, including: a vehicle controller; a memory configured to store one or more temperature set points for the inside of a vehicle; a plurality of vehicular sensors including one or more thermal sensors configured to collect temperature data; and a plurality of climate circuits configured to control a climate inside the vehicle. The one or more thermal sensors are each configured to measure a body temperature of an occupant and an internal temperature of an interior of the vehicle. The vehicle controller is configured to control the plurality of climate circuits based on the body temperature of the occupant, at least one of the one or more temperature set points, and the internal temperature of an interior of the vehicle.
AUTOMATED CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM
A control unit for a climate control system for a vehicle, comprising; a monitoring module arranged to monitor at least one demand representative of an environmental parameter change within the vehicle and/or at least one active user input relating to an environmental parameter within the vehicle; a storage means storing a control policy for configuring at least one climate control element; a feedback module configured to receive the at least one demand from the monitoring module and to receive a simulated control policy from a simulation module; wherein the feedback module is configured to update the control policy, based on the simulated control policy, in response to receiving the at least one demand; and an implementation module for controlling said at least one climate control element in accordance with said control policy.
AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to an air conditioner for a vehicle and a control method thereof, which can calculate the range of discharge temperature to the interior of the vehicle, set the upper limit of the discharge temperature, and control the degree of opening of a temp door such that the discharge temperature to the interior of the vehicle gets lower than the upper limit, thereby preventing air of discharge temperature above the upper limit from being discharged to the interior of the vehicle and preventing displeasure or personal injury that may be caused when air of high temperature is discharged.
System and method to adjust vehicle temperature based on driver location
A vehicle climate control system. An air conditioner and heater are operatively connected to a controller and control the temperature of the cabin area of a vehicle. A processor, operatively connected to the controller, determines the amount of time for an operator of the vehicle to travel between their location and the location of the vehicle. The processor determines an amount of time required to adjust the temperature of the cabin area of the vehicle to a selected temperature by using one of the air conditioner and the heater. The processor automatically operates one of the air conditioner and the heater to begin adjusting the temperature of the cabin area to the selected temperature when the amount of time required for the operator to travel between their location and the location of the vehicle is less than or equal to the amount of time required to adjust the temperature of the cabin area vehicle to the selected temperature.
Group identity-driven system and method for adjustment of cabin comfort setting
Systems and methods are disclosed for supporting and executing automated control of climate comfort settings based on user classification within a group identity database. Methods of generating and employing the group identity database are also disclosed.
