METHOD FOR DETERMINING A FRESH AIR VOLUME FLOW IN A VEHICLE FOR TRANSPORTING PEOPLE, AND DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD
A method for determining a fresh air volume flow in a vehicle for transporting persons. A water vapor mass flow is introduced into, or generated in, a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The air humidity in the passenger compartment of the vehicle is measured and, once a quasi-stationary air humidity has been reached, the fresh air volume flow is calculated by considering the following: a fresh air volume flow [m.sup.3/h]; a mass of the evaporated water in the compartment [kg/h]; a number of people in the space; a water mass flow produced per person; a density of the fresh air (humid air) [kg/m.sup.3]; a is specific air humidity of the fresh air [kg/kg]; a density of the ambient air (humid air) [kg/m.sup.3]; and a specific air humidity of the ambient air [kg/kg]. There is also described a device for carrying out the method.
Reactive Operations To Air Pollution
A method, an apparatus and a computer program product for performing reactive ventilation or prevention operations to air pollution in a moving vehicle. The method comprises obtaining a driving path of the vehicle that comprises a future sub-path that the vehicle is expected to arrive to at a future time, an estimated time-window the vehicle is expected to be located thereon, and air pollution data of the driving path that comprises an air pollution level at the future sub-path. In response to predicting, based on the air pollution data and the driving path, that the vehicle is about to encounter air pollution at the future sub-path, a prevention action is performed prior to the vehicle reaching the future sub-path. In response to a determination that the estimated air pollution level is below a threshold, performing a ventilation action while the vehicle is located on the future sub-path.

The disclosure relates to a fresh air device for a control unit of a road making machine. The fresh air device includes an element with at least one outlet opening for fresh air and a holder for the element, wherein the element is adjustable into different positions relative to the control unit by means of the holder.

A smart multi-modal vehicular air filtration management system including a first filter element and a second filter element disposed in a fresh air housing, wherein the fresh air housing has an inlet and an outlet. Additionally, a third filter element is provided which is disposed in a cabin housing, the cabin housing having one or more inlet. A fluid channel arranged between the fresh air and cabin housing. Finally, a diverter is included which is disposed near an outlet of the fresh air housing, wherein the diverter is configured to cause air to flow through the fresh air housing selectively through one or both of the first filter element and the second filter element.

Method of air pollution filtration in vehicle
A method of air pollution filtration in a vehicle is disclosed. A plurality of purification devices are provided to detect and transmit an inside-device gas detection datum, respectively, for intelligently selecting and controlling the activation of filtering the air pollution in the inner space of the vehicle. An in-car gas exchange system and a connection device are provided. The connection device receives and compares the respective inside-device gas detection datum, and selectively transmits a control instruction to drive the in-car gas exchange system and the purification devices. The movement of the air pollution is accelerated by the gas convention of the in-car gas exchange system, so that the air pollution is directionally moved toward the corresponding one of the purification devices adjacent to the air pollution for filtration. The air pollution in the inner space of the vehicle is filtered rapidly, so as to provide clean, safe and breathable air.
System and method for isolating motor vehicle interior from poor outdoor air quality
This disclosure relates to a system and method for isolating an interior of a motor vehicle from poor outdoor air quality. More particularly, this disclosure relates to a system and method configured to identify conditions associated with poor outdoor air quality and to respond to those conditions by isolating the interior of the motor vehicle from the outdoor environment. An example system includes a selector configured to permit a user to select a drive mode of the motor vehicle, a location system configured to detect a location of the motor vehicle, and a controller configured to issue one or more commands to isolate an interior of the motor vehicle from an environment outside the motor vehicle based on either a selected drive mode or a detected location.

An integrated apparatus of measuring internal temperature and dust of a vehicle includes a main body unit provided with a main flow path including an inlet and an outlet configured to receive air and to discharge air therethrough, a fan motor unit provided in the main body unit and configured to forcibly blow indoor air of the vehicle through the main flow path, a temperature measuring unit configured to measure the internal temperature through the air drawn into the main flow path, as the fan motor unit is driven, and a dust sensing unit provided with a subsidiary flow path branching off from the main flow path, wherein the dust sensing unit is configured to allow a part of the air drawn into the main flow path to flow in the subsidiary flow path to determine a dust concentration in the air drawn into the subsidiary flow path.
Method for determining air quality in a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle
A method determines air quality in a passenger compartment (4) of a motor vehicle (2) based on measured data representative of outside air quality and an evaluation model for extrapolating interior air quality. Measured data (MD) is collected by at least one sensor (6) arranged outside the passenger compartment. The measured data is evaluated using a model (12) for the air quality in the passenger compartment (4) in order to determine output data (AD) indicative of the air quality in the passenger compartment (4). Then the output data is output to the occupants of the passenger compartment.
