HIGH ASPECT RATIO VENT AIMING USING SINGLE BARREL MECHANISM
20190329630 · 2019-10-31 ·

An air vent achieves selective vertical aiming of air by using a barrel comprising two vanes defining a central channel to selectively channel air, in varying proportions, into one or both of an upper air channel and a lower air channel. The upper air channel is configured to discharge air into a vehicle passenger cabin at a downward angle, and the lower air channel is configured to discharge air into the vehicle passenger cabin at an upward angle. Air discharged by the upper air channel impinges on and deflects air discharged by the lower air channel and vice versa, such that vertical aiming can be achieved by varying the mass flow rate of air through the upper and lower air channels.

Air outlet for arrangement in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle

An air outlet has an elongated housing including a flow channel. The air outlet has an outflow element which crosses the flow channel and is rigidly arranged on a longitudinal end of the housing. Furthermore, the air outlet has an insert which is pivotably mounted with an arched outer surface on a correspondingly formed arched section of an inner wall of the housing and is arranged offset to the outflow element in the longitudinal direction of the housing. The air outlet has an actuating element which protrudes into the flow channel, is pivotably mounted on the outflow element and is mechanically coupled to the insert.

VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONER

A vehicle air conditioner includes: a heating passage for sucking in air inside the vehicle cabin with a heating fan and supplying the air to a condenser, and supplying the air having passed through the condenser into the vehicle cabin from a heating air outlet; a cooling passage for sucking in the air inside the vehicle cabin with a cooling fan and supplying the air to an evaporator, and supplying the air having passed through the evaporator into the vehicle cabin from a cooling air outlet; a cooling inlet opening and a cooling outlet opening capable of communicating both sides of the condenser of the heating passage with outside of the vehicle cabin; and a heating inlet opening and a heating outlet opening capable of communicating both sides of the evaporator of the cooling passage with the outside of the vehicle cabin.

MULTI-ADJUSTABLE AIR REGISTER
20190054804 · 2019-02-21 · ·

An air register for use in a vehicle includes a vent housing having an outlet. A frame member is operably coupled to the sidewalls of the outlet and contains a perimeter wall framing an open central portion. Disposed within the open central portion is a plurality of chambers operably coupled to the frame member and movable between first and second positions. Each chamber includes a perimeter wall having vertical and horizontal surfaces disposed in a common plane around an open interior portion.

AIR VENT

A air vent with a housing has at least one opening for supplying an airflow and an opening for discharging the supplied airflow. The airflow can be supplied to the air vent from an air supply shaft or from an air supply line in a heating, ventilating, or air-conditioning systems for a motor vehicle. The housing of the air vent is adapted to be inserted into a wall opening or can be assembled behind such a wall opening and secured there via one of the at least two parts of the housing. In the non-use state of the air vent, one part of the housing lies in or over the other part of the housing.

REGISTER

A register includes an annular fin that can improve the directivity of air conditioning air while suppressing increase in the number of parts. A front fin includes an annular-shaped annular fin portion. A bezel has upstream side inclined surfaces formed on inner peripheral surfaces facing with each other in the shorter side direction (vertical direction) of an air blow outlet. The upstream side inclined surfaces incline toward a direction of approaching the annular fin portion from an upstream side toward a downstream side of an air blowing direction. An air conditioning air flowing in the air blowing direction is guided to the annular fin portion side by the upstream side inclined surfaces.

Cardan mounting for an air vent
10071616 · 2018-09-11 · ·

The invention relates to a cardan mounting for an air vent, comprising a fixed part and a moving part, which are each pivotably attached to a cardan ring, wherein the two pivoting axes are arranged at right angles to one another. The cardan ring is elastically deformable, circular-ring-shaped in the uninstalled state and extended along one pivoting axis and compressed along the other pivoting axis, as compared with the circular shape, in the installed state. The invention furthermore relates to an air vent having a cardan mounting of this kind.

An air vent for a vehicle includes a housing and an air guiding element that is pivotable relative to the housing about a pivot axis extending transversely to a direction of flow predetermined by the channel. A light source is arranged outside the air guiding element and a light guide is optically coupled to the light source. A first section of the light guide is guided in the region of the pivot axis from the outside of the air guiding element through a wall thereof to the inside and in this section the light guide extends coaxially to the pivot axis. Outside the air guiding element, a second section of the light guide adjoins the first section of the light guide in the direction of the light source. The first section is angled 90? relative to the second section and a chamfer formed on an outer side of the angled portion has a mirror surface directed towards an inner side of the angled portion.
