AIR TREATMENT APPARATUS
An air treatment apparatus for an operator environment of an agricultural vehicle in which air to be filtered is drawn into an air filtration system, filtered and directed to an agricultural vehicle HVAC system. The air filtration system includes first and second filtration devices having respectively coarser and finer levels of filtration. Each filtration device is provided with a respective bypass permanently connected with an inlet end downstream of a valve mechanism that selects between the filtration devices, and an outlet end upstream of the valve mechanism and adjacent the respective filtration device. In use a portion of air flow downstream of the valve mechanism may be recirculated to purge the respective filtration device, and each bypass includes a respective non-return valve opposing transit of air from the outlet to the inlet ends.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AIR TREATMENT EMPLOYING CATALYST MATERIAL
An apparatus and method for treating air. A housing can enclose a heating zone and an oxidizing zone positioned downstream of the heating zone with respect to a flow direction of the air being treated. A catalyst in the oxidizing zone oxidizes contaminants from the air, and an air mover positioned is configured to move air from an air inlet through the housing to an air outlet. An air treatment cycle can include an air cleaning mode at a high air flow and a self-cleaning mode at a lower air flow. A heater is operated during the self cleaning mode to oxidize contaminants that on the catalyst from the air cleaning mode.
AIR TREATMENT APPARATUS FOR AN AGRICULTURAL VEHICLE
An air filtration system for an operator environment of an agricultural vehicle having at least one external inlet, a first filtration device having a coarser level of filtration located between the external inlet and an HVAC system, a second filtration device having a second finer level of filtration and an associated blower located between the external inlet and the HVAC system 4, where the system selectively connects either the first filtration device to the HVAC system blower or the second filtration device and its associated blower to the HVAC system blower and includes a bypass permanently connecting the HVAC system blower and the second filtration device.
AN AIR TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR A CONFINED ENVIRONMENT
An air-treatment system for a confined environment, in particular the cabin of a vehicle, includes: a supply unit including an inlet port, a delivery port, and a purge port, the supply unit being configured for delivering air to said confined environment through the delivery port; and a first filtering device having a first filtration level, and a second filtering device having a second filtration level, each of the first and second filtering devices being arranged in fluid communication with the inlet port of said supply unit at a circuit node. A single flow-control valve determines inlet flow through one or other of the filtering devices.
AIR TREATMENT APPARATUS
An air filtration system for an operator environment of an agricultural vehicle including at least one external inlet, a first filtration device having a coarser level of filtration located between the external inlet and an HVAC system, a second filtration device having a second finer level of filtration and an associated blower located between the external inlet and the HVAC system, where the air filtration system selectively connects either the first filtration device to the HVAC system blower or the second filtration device and its associated blower to the HVAC system blower and a bypass permanently connects the HVAC system blower and the second filtration device.
Air filtration for a mobile mining machine
A mobile mining machine includes a base, a main housing supported on the base, and an air filtration unit configured to provide filtered air to the main housing. The air filtration unit includes a dirty air inlet, a filtered air outlet, and a filter chamber disposed fluidly between the dirty air inlet and the filtered air outlet, the filter chamber housing a filter element. The dirty air inlet is positioned vertically below the filter chamber.
CABIN FILTER CLEANING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A VEHICLE
Systems and methods that utilize both UVA and UVC lamps to clean and disinfect a cabin filter of a vehicle, thereby preventing the cabin filter from becoming fouled for an extended period of time. By performing both gas filtration and cabin filter disinfection functions, these systems and methods mitigate: (1) the pressure drop (or flow reduction) experienced; (2) the smell breakthrough when the gas adsorbent becomes saturated; and (3) the presence of microbial growth. This is accomplished by the sequential application of UVC and UVA radiation to the cabin filter, with the UVC radiation being applied for a period of time upon vehicle startup to neutralize bacteria and fungus present in the cabin filter and the UVA radiation subsequently being applied continuously to filter the gas flowing through the cabin filter. A photocatalyst may be added to the cabin filter itself to enhance disinfection and gas filtration.
Air purification device for vehicle
An air purification device includes: a carbon dioxide removal device configured to sorb and remove carbon dioxide contained in air; an air supply duct connected to a first outlet of the carbon dioxide removal device and having a blowing opening 17a for flowing out purified air from which carbon dioxide has been removed by the carbon dioxide removal device 12 into a vehicle cabin; and an exhaust duct connected to a second outlet of the carbon dioxide removal device and having an exhaust opening 18a for discharging the carbon dioxide sorbed by the carbon dioxide removal device to outside of the vehicle cabin 3, wherein the air supply duct is mounted to a front seat of the vehicle so as to be movable vertically with the blowing opening facing forward.
