VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE
A vehicle body structure includes a wall and a removable panel. The wall has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The wall defines a vent opening with a peripheral edge extending between the first surface and the second surface. The wall includes an air vent structure open to the vent opening. The removable panel has a trim surface and an attachment surface with a plurality of air vent slots extending from the attachment surface to the trim surface. The attachment surface has a retaining structure configured to retain an air filter along the attachment surface and an attachment structure configured to attach to the wall covering the vent opening with the retaining structure extending at least partially within the air vent structure.
Housing for a heating, air-conditioning and/or ventilation device for a motor vehicle
The present invention relates to a housing (1) for a heating, air-conditioning and/or ventilation device for a motor vehicle, configured to receive an air filter (3), said air filter (3) comprising a first filtering medium (30) which is delimited by at least two primary frame strips (300) and a second filtering medium (31) which is delimited by at least two secondary frame strips (310), according to which said housing (1) comprises at least one maintenance device (100) which is configured to retain one of said primary frame strips (300) when said first filtering medium (10) is mounted in said housing (1).
Cabin air filter
An apparatus and a method are provided for a cabin air filter to remove airborne molecular contaminants and volatile organic compounds from a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The cabin air filter includes a supportive frame configured to suitably orient the cabin air filter within a ventilation system of the vehicle. The supportive frame having a shape and size suitable for supporting the cabin air filter within the ventilation system. A filter medium is retained within the supportive frame and configured to remove the airborne molecular contaminants and volatile organic compounds from air flowing through the ventilation system. The filter medium electrostatically attracts and agglomerates contaminants within the air flowing through the air filter. In some embodiments, the filter medium includes fibers treated with antimicrobial molecules configured to destroy microbes. In some embodiments, the filter medium includes fibrous materials configured to release a fragrance into the passenger compartment.
Air Filter for a Ventilation Device of a Motor Vehicle
An air filter for a ventilation device of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The air filter has a planar extension along which the air filter is able to be inserted into a flow area of the ventilation device transversely relative to a flow direction and has a filter medium arranged along its planar extension. The filter medium is bordered at least in certain regions by at least one frame wall. The frame wall has at least one section which is able to be brought into engagement with guide elements of the ventilation device in order to guide the air filter during insertion into the flow area. The section is a notch on an edge of the frame wall and is formed with an undercut relative to the edge such that the air filter is able to be braced transversely relative to the insertion direction during insertion in two directions.
AIR BOX COVER WITH INTEGRAL AIR FLOW STRAIGHTENER PATTERN
An air box cover is provided. That air box cover includes a one-piece body having an air filter outlet and an integral air flow straightener pattern extending across that air filter outlet. A plurality of vanes may form the air flow straightener pattern. At least one of those vanes may be of increased thickness to provide flow runner function when molding the air box cover in order to influence fill pattern and push gas toward venting locations during molding.
AIR CONDITIONING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A filter insertion opening into which a filter is inserted is formed in an indoor-air/outdoor-air switching unit, which constitutes an air conditioning device for a vehicle, and a guide section for guiding the filter downstream in the insertion direction is provided on the inner wall surface of a casing so as to face the filter insertion opening. The guide section has: a first lower guide facing the filter insertion opening and tilted upward; and a second lower guide formed downstream of the first lower guide in the insertion direction and tilted downward. When inserting the filter from the filter insertion opening, the filter is guided along the first lower guide and therefore is inserted while being tilted such that the end of the filter, which is located downstream in the insertion direction, is lifted up. Consequently, the filter can be inserted without contact with the vehicle body-side structure.
CARBON DIOXIDE CONCENTRATION CONTROL DEVICE AND APPARATUS
A carbon dioxide concentration control device (10) is provided with a control unit (15) that controls an absorption amount of carbon dioxide of a carbon dioxide absorbent (16) per unit hour, and a regeneration control unit (14) that generates the carbon dioxide absorbent (16), and a second drive energy supply unit (13) which is different from a first drive energy supply unit (11) that supplies power to the control unit (15) supplies power to the regeneration control unit (14), and thus a carbon dioxide concentration in a space is controlled to be an appropriate value for long periods of time.
Vehicle cabin filter assembly
A vehicle cabin filter assembly comprising a filter module and a further filter module positioned downstream of the filter module. Each filter module comprises one or more filter elements. The filter elements of the filter module are pleated at a first pleat pitch and comprise a gas filter element. The filter elements of the further filter module are pleated at a second pleat pitch and comprise a particulate filter element. And the second pleat pitch is smaller than the first pleat pitch.
Methods and systems for sanitizing air conditioned by a climate control system
A method for purifying air within a space is provided. The method includes a controller determining whether an ON signal is received. Upon determining that the ON signal is received, the controller instructs an air sanitizer of an air sanitization system to turn ON to purify an airflow passing through the air sanitization system, and instructs an air movement fan/blower to operate in order to direct the airflow into the space. Upon determining that the ON signal is not received, the controller instructs the air movement fan/blower and the air sanitizer to be OFF.
VENTILATION UNIT FOR VEHICLE AIR-CONDITIONING DEVICE
A ventilation unit for a vehicle air-conditioning device has a filter element, a filter frame, a wall portion, a blower case, and a blower. The filter element is disposed in an air inlet of the vehicle air-conditioning device. The filter frame houses the filter element. The wall portion is provided in a standing position around the filter element housed in the filter frame. The blower case is attached to the filter frame. The filter frame is coupled with the blower case to be drawn out from the blower case together with the filter element in a drawing direction parallel to an upper surface of the filter element. The wall portion is disposed at a location corresponding to at least a rear side of two sides facing each other in the drawing direction and protrudes upward over the upper surface of the filter element.
