BOAT VENTILATION SYSTEM
There is described a ventilation system for a boat. The windshield body comprises an air scoop in a bottom portion of the windshield body, facing a forward direction of the boat for air entry, the air scoop having an entry which is substantially horizontal and the air scoop extending upwardly within the windshield body to form a conduit having an upward component. The conduit end opens toward an inside of the boat, at a location higher than the entry of the air scoop. A hingeable vent can be installed on the opening inside the boat to be open or closed. The vent may also be sued with a direct opening with the outside. In this case, flaps can be installed in the opening. The flaps can be hingeable about their own respective hinge axis, and move together using a solid link. The flaps may be used without the vent.

MULTI-LAYER PROTECTIVE WINDOW SYSTEM FOR NON-MILITARY HEAVY EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING SAME
A protective window system for non-military heavy equipment including: at least two window panes with at least one air gap therebetween wherein the thickness of each window pane and the size of the air gap is determined such that the window system meets or exceeds UL/ANSI 752 level 1 testing. In particular, the panes may be of polycarbonate, formed with a curved shape and between 5 and 30 mm thick. The air gap may be between at least two of the at least two window panes that is between 5 and 50 mm thick. The window system may include a channel for transporting conditioned air and a vent for allowing the conditioned air to enter the air gap; and a hinge mechanism for allowing at least one of the at least two window panes to move in relation to another of the at least two window panes.
SUPPORTING GOLF-CART PIVOTAL WINDSHIELD FOR USE AS TABLE
One or more upright support members mount to a golf cart and support a lateral support member that in turn supports a pivotal windshield pane of the golf cart in a horizontal position for use as a tabletop. The lateral support member engages a top lip and/or a top portion of the pivotal windshield pane and is received in the notch space between them. The upright support members of some embodiments support the lateral support member from below in compression (e.g., the upright support members can include attachments that insert into retaining clips for the pivotal windshield) and in other embodiments they support the lateral support member from above in tension/suspension (e.g., the upright support members can include cables).
Removable ballistic resistant windshield
Methods and apparatus are provided for a removable ballistic resistant windshield for vehicle egress. The windshield includes a ballistic resistant glass panel in a rectangular windshield frame with a perimeter portion configured to fit within a rectangular opening in a vehicle cab. The windshield frame may further include an exterior flange configured to overlay an outside surface of the opening in the vehicle cab, and an interior flange extending from the windshield frame opposite the exterior flange. The exterior and interior flanges define an open channel on a first side of the windshield frame configured to fit around a vertical portion of the opening in the vehicle cab when the windshield is seated in the opening. A spring-loaded latch on the windshield frame is operable from inside the vehicle cab to release a second, opposite side of the windshield frame from the opening in the vehicle cab.
