Roof Attachment And Passenger Car Comprising A Removable Roof Attachment
A roof attachment for a passenger car includes at least one roof shell and at least two lateral-wall shells. The lateral-wall roof shells are arranged on opposite sides of the passenger car relative to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the roof and are pivotable between a storage position folded against an inner side of the roof shell and an unfolded usage position. The roof attachment has a cross section shaped like an upside-down U and can be attached onto interfaces of the passenger car via lower edges of the lateral-wall shells facing away from the roof shell. The roof shell and the lateral-wall shells can be brought into contact with a hard-top section and lateral pillars of the passenger car with their frontal edges when in the usage position. Rearward edges of the roof shell and the lateral-wall shells form a continuous edge of the vehicle rear.

ROOF STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE
There are provided a front roof, a rear roof, a glass unit including a rear-window glass, a rear roof support link which openably supports the rear roof at a vehicle body, a front-roof support link mechanism which openably supports the front roof, the front-roof support link mechanism being connected to the rear roof support link such that closed states of both the front roof and the rear roof are achieved by means of the rear roof support link and the front-roof support link mechanism, and a glass-unit support link mechanism which is connected to the rear roof support link and configured to support the glass unit in a closed position.
VEHICLE COMPONENT
A vehicle component for a motor vehicle having a rear seat device with at least one headrest and having a wind deflector device with an extendable planar element for protecting front seats of the motor vehicle against relative wind. In an extended state, the planar element extends from a region behind the headrest to a region in front of the headrest. In this context, the headrest can be pivoted by a pivoting device from a position of use, in which the headrest projects beyond a height of the planar element in the extended state, into a position of rest. In the position of rest, the headrest is arranged under the extended planar element.
Vehicle-body structure of automotive vehicle with storing-type roof
There are provided a pillar attached to a vehicle-body side separately from a roof, a pillar-side weather strip provided at the pillar, a vehicle-body-side weather strip provided at a vehicle-body side of a lower portion of the pillar, and an engagement portion provided at a lower end portion of the pillar-side weather strip, the engagement portion being configured to engage from an inward side, in a vehicle width direction, of the vehicle-body-side weather strip. The vehicle-body-side weather strip comprises a guide portion which guides the engagement portion of the pillar-side weather strip inward and downward, an engaged portion positioned at a lower portion of the guide portion, and a wall portion which contacts a hanging piece provided at the lower end portion of the pillar-side weather strip from an outward side in the vehicle width direction.
Rear vehicle-body structure of automotive vehicle with storing-type roof
A deck cover is openably provided at a vehicle-body rear portion positioned in back of a cabin. A top portion of a rear wheelhouse is provided at the vehicle-body rear portion. This top portion is configured to be displaced upward, relative to a vehicle-body rear end portion, such as a rear bumper or a rear end panel, by vehicle-body deformation caused by a vehicle rear collision. The deck cover is supported at a position of the vehicle-body rear portion which is located vertically above or in front of the top portion of the rear wheelhouse such that the deck cover is elevated in accordance with upward displacement of the top portion when the vehicle-body rear portion receives a rear-collision load.
TRIM STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE
A trim structure of a vehicle includes a deck cover constituting a vehicle interior upper portion at a vehicle rear side. The trim structure is provided between a seat and the deck cover and at an upper end of a door main body. The deck cover includes: left and right cover side portions opposed to each other; a rear window opening opening at a vehicle rear side of the seat; and a rear window configured to be openable and closable. The trim structure includes a straightening trim body located between a lower portion of a front end of one of the cover side portions and the seat and projecting to the upper end of the door main body. The straightening trim body is formed so as to straighten traveling wind to the rear window opening in an open state, the traveling wind flowing into a vehicle interior.
METHOD OF FUNCTIONING THE RETRACTABLE HARD TOP SYSTEM FOR CONVERTIBLE VEHICLES
Method of functioning the retractable hard top system for convertible vehicles which implies splitting the ceiling in the middle (through the longitudinal axis of the vehicle), moving the rear window with the frame-like area around it on top of the trunk lid, opening the upper areas of the rear wings and folding compactly the remaining components of the roof inside the lateral areas of the trunk. This method significantly increases the usable volume of the luggage compartment and offers an easier access to the items carried in the trunk. Also, this method requires a less complex operation system which leads to less expensive manufacturing and maintenance costs.
SLANTED BACK SOFT TOP ASSEMBY FOR SUV
An articulating slanted back soft top assembly for 4-door and 2-door SUVs. A fabric cover is supported by a frame that is at least partially articulatable from at least a closed position to at least one open air position. The frame includes at least one forward fabric support bow member and at least one rearward fabric support bow member. The rear fabric support bow member being positioned when in the closed position in a manner which allows the fabric to clear a sport bar or roll bar member of a vehicle in the closed position such that a rear portion of the top is angled from the vertical when viewing the vehicle from the side.
Top of a convertible vehicle having a rear window
A top of a convertible vehicle includes a linkage, wherein, by using the linkage, at least one top element is displaceable between a closed position for spanning a vehicle interior and a cleared position for clearing the vehicle interior to the top. By using the linkage, a rear window, which, in relation to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the top on each of its two sides, is connected to the linkage via a rear window link, is displaceable between a lifted viewing position and a lowered storage position, in which the rear window is arranged in a storage space, as well as comprising a detection apparatus. The detection apparatus identifies an obstacle in the storage space when the rear window is being displaced from the viewing position in the direction of the storage position and which interacts with a control apparatus of the top. The rear window is part of the detection apparatus.
