System for Actuating and Locking an Automobile Sun Visor
A sun visor actuation system including an attachment apparatus configured to attach to an automobile structure, an arm member rotatably attached to the attachment apparatus, a body member attached to the arm member, and an actuation system. The actuation system is operable to at least one of rotate the body member and prevent the rotation of the body member responsive to an indication of an imminent collision.
METHOD FOR MOUNTING FASTENING STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOBILE SUNSHADE
A method for mounting fastening structure of automobile sunshade includes providing a fixing strip by stacking a first release layer with a torn portion, an adhesion layer, and a second release layer in turn; tearing off the torn portion to form a reserved opening exposing adhesion layer; providing a positioning unit, adhering the positioning unit to adhesion layer in the reserved opening temporarily and adjusting relative position between the automobile sunshade and the positioning unit; detaching the positioning unit, and exposing a sticking layer the adhesion layer after removing the second release layer to adhere to internal window frame; spreading a crosslinking agent to the adhesion layer in the reserved opening; tearing off the first release layer and adhesion layer; adhering the positioning unit to crosslinking agent on internal window frame.
CONNECTOR FOR SUN VISOR
A connector for a sun visor includes a bracket attached to an attachment member, an arm portion which rotatably supports a sun-visor body arranged on one side of the attachment member and of which an end is rotatably inserted into the bracket, a housing fixed to the other side of the attachment member of the bracket and arranged near the end of the arm portion, a connector terminal accommodated in the housing and including a mating connection portion arranged on the other side of the attachment member and an arm-connection portion connected to the end of the arm portion, a fixing portion provided in the connector terminal, and fixing the connector terminal to the housing, and a pressing portion provided at a portion of the connector terminal which faces the bracket, abutting on the bracket, and pressing the connector terminal in an insertion direction of the fixing portion.
SWITCHABLE VANITY MIRROR IN ELECTROCHROMIC SUN VISOR
A visor assembly for an automobile includes an outer perimeter. The visor assembly further includes an electrochromic device configured to switch between a transparent state and a darkened state. The electrochromic device includes a first substrate defining a first element surface and a second element surface, a second substrate spaced away from the first substrate and defining a third element surface and a fourth element surface, and an electroactive medium positioned between the first and second substrates. The visor assembly further includes a liquid-crystal device configured to switch between a transparent state and a reflective state and a reflective polarizer positioned between the electrochromic device and the liquid-crystal device.
Adjustable sun visor apparatus
An adjustable sun visor apparatus having: a bar received into an open-pipe arm; an auxiliary visor panel; a ball; a plug; a tension spring; a ball compartment configured to house the ball and the plug and pivot around the ball; a vertical clip configured to receive a portion of the ball and to grip a sun visor; a bend-resistant spring configured to receive the plug and the open-pipe arm; a twin capsule configured to receive the ball and the tension spring; wherein the tension spring biases the bend-resistant spring downwards; such that a movement of the sun visor causes the bar to move within the open-pipe arm and thus prevents a movement of the auxiliary visor panel; such that the sun visor blocks light from the front and the auxiliary visor panel blocks light from the side in a vehicle.
Vehicle sun visor
A vehicle sun visor includes a visor body and a support shaft that attaches the visor body to a ceiling surface of a vehicle cabin. The visor body includes a first component and a second component that are stacked in a thickness direction. The support shaft supports the visor body such that the visor body is rotatable between a service position and a storage position. The support shaft is rotatably supported by a bearing part provided in the first component. The first component is provided with a housing part that houses a mirror. The housing part and the bearing part are connected by a connecting rib that extends in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the support shaft. The connecting rib, the bearing part, and the housing part are all provided in the first component.
An adjustable sun visor apparatus having: an arm received into an open tube; an auxiliary visor panel; a ball; a plug; a tension spring; a ball compartment configured to house the ball and the plug and pivot around the ball; a ball seat base configured to receive a portion of the ball; a bend-resistant spring configured to receive the plug and the arm; a first means and a second means for gripping a sun visor; the ball seat base being connected to the first means; wherein the tension spring biases the bend-resistant spring downwards; such that a movement of the sun visor causes the arm to move within the open tube and thus prevents a movement of the auxiliary visor panel; such that the sun visor blocks light from the front and the auxiliary visor panel blocks light from the side in a vehicle.
Adjustable sun shield
An improved adjustable sun shield useable on the visor of a vehicle. The inventive sun shield provides significantly improved flexibility for placement of the shield so the shield may be selectively placed and located by a driver or passenger in a location that best blocks in-coming sunlight. Unlike prior art sun shields, which provide the user with limited options for placement (e.g., typically pivoting in single direction), the sun shield enables a user to position the shield at a plurality of locations and in a plurality of positions, thereby increasing the user's ability to block sunlight by placing the sun shield in the best location and position to accomplish this.
