The door includes a window-regulator assembly between the exterior-door panel and the door-trim panel. The window-regulator assembly includes a panel supported by and fixed to the exterior-door panel and a window-regulator motor supported by the panel. The door-trim panel has a vehicle-inboard face and recessed wall recessed vehicle-outboard of the vehicle-inboard face defining a map pocket. The map pocket is adjacent to the seat. The window-regulator assembly includes a polymeric block attached to and supported by the panel. The map pocket is between the polymeric block and the pelvic-seating area when the door is in the closed position.
Hybrid door for automobile
A hybrid door for an automobile, which can reduce the weight of an automobile while maintaining high strength and dent includes an outside panel configured to have a sandwich structure in which a resin layer is integrated between at least one pair of thin steel plates and disposed outside an automobile interior, and an inside panel bonded to the outside panel and disposed within the automobile interior.
Panel door for vehicle having improved stiffness
A panel door applied for a vehicle including a stiffness member made of a plastic material and integrally formed on an internal surface of the panel door, includes an external panel, an internal panel coupled to the external panel, and a stiffness member formed to connect a frame forming a circumference and stiffness elements provided for reinforcing stiffness inside the frame and coupled to at least one of the external panel and the internal panel.
Motor Vehicle With a Side Door
A motor vehicle has a side door which has a door inner panel on the motor vehicle interior side and a door outer skin on the motor vehicle outer side. The door inner panel and the door outer skin are joined together at least in some sections in an edge region of the side door in order to form a butt joint, wherein a gap can be formed between the door inner panel and the door outer skin in the edge region at least partly on the basis of tolerances in a Y direction and/or an X-Z direction, and a seal element is provided which can be secured to the door inner panel by securing elements, extends over the edge region, and sealingly lies against the exterior of the door inner panel and the door outer skin in each case. The seal element is made of a hard component which extends along the edge region, and a soft component is arranged on the hard component solely on the door inner panel side and the door outer skin side, said soft component sealingly lying against the exterior of the door inner panel and the door outer skin in each case so as to adjoin the edge region when the seal element is secured.
DOOR MIRROR MOUNTING SYSTEM
There is provided a door mirror mounting system (400) for a vehicle door structure (200) and a method (500) of installing a mirror mounting system (400) on a vehicle door structure (200). The door mirror mounting system (400) comprises a reinforcing structure (410) for a window frame portion (210) of the vehicle door structure (200). The reinforcing structure (410) is configured to provide a mounting point for a base (310) of a door mirror (300). The door mirror mounting system (400) comprises an exterior trim panel (420) configured to cover the reinforcing structure (410) and the base (310) of the door mirror (300) when mounted. The exterior trim panel (420) comprises an aperture (424) configured to receive a stem (320) of the door mirror (300) therethrough
Method for manufacturing press-formed product, press forming die, and press-formed product
A press-formed product is manufactured by press-forming a blank material into an intermediate shape, and further press-forming the blank material from the intermediate shape into the press-formed product having a target shape. A product portion of the target shape includes a first ridge line portion and a second ridge line portion each having a radius of curvature of 20 mm or smaller and a bending angle of 130 degrees or larger. The product portion of the intermediate shape has a curved shape having a radius of curvature of 100 mm or larger or a linear shape in a specific cross section. A height of an excess thickness portion of the intermediate shape is higher than 10 mm with respect to a peripheral portion and lower than a height of the excess thickness portion of the target shape.
PANEL ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A panel assembly for a vehicle door includes an interior panel that has an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface and the outer surface collectively define a body and a trim element that is integrally formed with the body with a living hinge disposed therebetween. The panel assembly also includes an exterior panel that has an inner surface that is coupled to the body at the inner surface of the interior panel and has an opposing outer surface that is coupled to the trim element in a folded position of the trim element.
Vehicle door structure
A vehicle door structure includes an inner door panel and an impact pad. The inner door panel has an access opening that extends from an inboard surface to an outboard surface of the inner door panel. The access opening is defined by an upper edge, a lower edge, a forward edge and a rearward edge. The impact pad has a main portion and a block portion. The main portion has a lower attachment section and an upper attachment section that are both located along an inboard side of the upper and lower edges. The lower attachment section is attached to the lower edge and the upper attachment section is attached to the upper edge. A section of the block portion is located along the outboard side of the inner door panel. The impact pad is spaced apart from the forward edge of the access opening.
