A motor vehicle with at least one vehicle door includes a reinforcement component arranged in the lower section of the door body of the vehicle door. The reinforcement component is an open profile with lateral walls and an M-profile formed thereon which extend in the vehicle transverse direction in order to absorb forces acting in the vehicle transverse direction in the event of a load.

VEHICLE DOOR WITH USER GESTURE DETECTION

A door assembly has a door panel for an entryway into a vehicle having an electronic controller. The door assembly also includes a door locking system having a latch mechanism for selectively latching the door panel to and unlatching the door panel from the vehicle body. The door assembly additionally includes an electronic circuit embedded in the door panel, having an electronic chip configured to detect a gesture of a vehicle user proximate the door panel, and configured to generate a signal indicative of the detected gesture. Each of the latch mechanism and the electronic circuit is in operative communication with the controller. The controller is configured to receive the signal from the electronic circuit and command the latch mechanism to either latch or unlatch the door panel from the vehicle body in response to the detected gesture. A method of unlatching a vehicle door panel is also disclosed.

Utility vehicle

The utility vehicle has a door and a window unit detachably mounted to the door. The door includes an inner door panel, an outer door panel, and a door pipe frame supporting the inner door panel and the outer door panel. The window unit includes a window and a window unit pipe frame supporting the window. A plurality of downwardly extending pipe ends of the window unit pipe frame are inserted into a plurality of upwardly open pipe ends of the door pipe frame. The pipe ends of the window unit pipe frame are detachably fixed to the pipe ends of the door pipe frame using a locking device.

Vehicular door

A vehicular door includes a resin outer panel and a resin inner panel mounted on a vehicular interior side of the resin outer panel, and the resin inner panel includes a resin body member that configures an interior design surface of the vehicular door and a resin reinforcing member that is arranged on a vehicular exterior side and on a peripheral portion of the resin body member.

Baggage Door

In one aspect, a baggage door is provided for a vehicle. The baggage door includes a plastic outer panel for closing an opening of a vehicle and a hinge base configured to be mounted to a surface adjacent the opening. The baggage door further includes a plastic inner support having a hinge portion of the plastic inner support configured to pivotally connect to the hinge base. The inner support includes an arm portion extending away from the hinge portion for supporting the outer panel.

GLASS AND EXTERIOR PANEL DESIGN FOR LOW NOISE TRANSMISSION

A noise insulating support panel is provided for a structural assembly and includes a base substrate component and at least one localized stiffening reinforcement feature. The reinforcement feature generally extends across the base substrate component in a length direction aligned with, i.e., substantially parallel to, or substantially perpendicular to, a direction of airflow exhibiting turbulent pressure onto the base substrate component. The reinforcement feature cooperates with the base substrate component to minimize energy transmission through the base substrate component. If the base substrate component is a body panel, the reinforcement feature may be a stiffening rib member; if laminated glass, the reinforcement feature is located within an interlayer disposed between glass layers. The interlayer may include a first region including polyvinyl butyral having a first stiffness, and a second region including polyvinyl butyral having a second, lower stiffness. The reinforcement feature may also be an edge stiffening treatment.

A vehicle door exterior handle device is provided in which insertion of a handle lever into an opening of the vehicle door is disabled at the non-actuated position but is allowed at the actuated position when a handle base having the handle lever in a state of being operatively linked to a linking arm part of the exterior handle is attached to the vehicle door, wherein a provisional holding member is mounted on the handle lever, the provisional holding member being capable of rotating around an axis parallel to a pivot axis of the handle lever, and an engagement portion is provided on the provisional holding member, the engagement portion being engaged with a latching part provided on the handle base when the handle lever is at the actuated position. This maintains the exterior handle at a door opened position for placing the handle lever into the actuated position.

DOOR FOR VEHICLE

A door of a vehicle may include a door internal panel; a door external panel mounted outside a passenger compartment with respect to the door internal panel, detachably coupled to the door internal panel, and made of a lightweight material than the door internal panel; and a reinforcement member mounted between the door external panel and the door internal panel and fastened to the door external panel and the door internal panel to increase rigidity, reducing weight and cost of the door of the vehicle and easily replacing the door external panel.

Outer skin module of a vehicle door and vehicle door having such an outer skin module

An outer skin module of a vehicle door has a side impact support for stiffening the vehicle door, a shell-shaped outer skin having a shell edge, and a peripheral mounting frame on its edge, which is connected to the shell edge of the outer skin for fixing the outer skin to a door shell of the vehicle door. The mounting frame and the side impact support are designed as one-piece module components.
