SHOCK ABSORBING STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE DOOR
20180244232 · 2018-08-30 · ·

A shock absorbing structure of a vehicle door including a vehicle body panel with a service hole includes a door trim and a shock absorber. The door trim covers the vehicle body panel from an interior side of a vehicle. The shock absorber is mounted to the vehicle body panel to cover the service hole. The shock absorber includes a shock absorbing portion that is inserted in the service hole. The shock absorbing portion is disposed such that an end of the shock absorbing portion on an exterior side of the vehicle is disposed more to the exterior side of the vehicle than the service hole and between the vehicle body panel and the door trim.

ADD-ON PART OF A VEHICLE BODY
20180222295 · 2018-08-09 ·

An add-on part (1) of a vehicle body, such as a door (1) or tailgate, has interconnected inner and outer parts (2, 4) and reinforced portions (5, 6) and a reinforcing device (7) connecting said reinforced portions (5, 6). The reinforcing device (7) has arms (8, 9, 18, 19), and, in the region of the ends of the arms (8, 9, 18, 19), the reinforcing device (7) is connected in a force-fitting and/or form-fitting manner to the reinforced portions (5, 6). Such an add-on part, while having a structurally simple design and relatively low weight, ensures particularly good stiffening properties.

Vehicle side portion structure

A vehicle side portion structure including: a rocker that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction at a vehicle transverse direction outer side of a vehicle body lower portion; a sliding door that slides in the vehicle longitudinal direction, includes a door inner panel, which is connected to the rocker by a door hinge slidable in the vehicle longitudinal direction and which has a mounted-to portion that is lined up in a vehicle transverse direction with the rocker, and includes a door outer panel that is disposed further toward a vehicle transverse direction outer side than the door inner panel; and a load transmitting member that is mounted to the mounted-to portion and transmits a collision load, which is input to the door outer panel from a vehicle side, to a region of the rocker that is different from a region to which the door hinge is connected.

Impact energy absorber
10006515 · 2018-06-26 · ·

An impact energy absorber with desired absorbing properties while being capable of avoiding the incidence of warpage. The impact energy absorber produced by a formation of a plate-shaped resin material, has a planar portion, and at least one projection projecting from one surface of the planar portion. The planar portion has a plurality of groove-shaped peripheral ribs in an opposite surface at a periphery thereof. The plurality of groove-shaped peripheral rib extends in a direction intersecting with a circumferential direction of the planar portion, and is aligned in the circumferential direction of the planar portion.

DOOR ASSEMBLY

A door assembly includes a door and a pusher. The door defines a cavity. The pusher is fixed to the door in the cavity, and the pusher contains a non-Newtonian fluid. The door assembly may be installed in a vehicle. Because the pusher contains a non-Newtonian fluid, the pusher distributes force from the impact to an occupant in a manner that depends on a size of the occupant.

SUPPLEMENTAL LOAD TRANSFER TRIM SYSTEM

A supplemental load transfer system for a vehicle includes a vehicle kick-up cross-member and a door trim panel configured to attach to a vehicle door member. The door trim panel includes a pusher disposed to transfer an impact load to the kick-up cross-member. The pusher may be configured as a matrix formed by a plurality of columns and substantially orthogonal connecting ribs to define a plurality of receivers. One or more of the receivers may be at least partially filled with a load-transferring substrate. The one or more receivers may be disposed at a bottom portion of the pusher. One or more columns of the plurality of columns may be oriented whereby an impact-receiving end and an impact-transmitting end of the pusher define different surface areas.

VEHICLE IMPACT ABSORPTION STRUCTURE

A vehicle impact absorption structure includes a door trim and an impact absorption member located on as outer side of the door trim in a vehicle width direction. The impact absorption member includes a base plate arranged to face the door trim, a plurality of legs extending from the base plate toward the door trim, and a plate-shaped rigid wall extending from the base plate toward the door trim. Each of the legs is bent between a distal end of the rigid wall and the base plate.

Reinforcing element for a motor vehicle door, motor vehicle door and method for the production of a reinforcing element

A reinforcing element for a motor vehicle door is disclosed which is a light metal or a light metal alloy. The reinforcing element is produced from a light metal blank by massive forming, preferably by forging.

VEHICLE WINDOW-REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

A vehicle comprising: a seat including a seat bottom and a seatback. The seat bottom defines a pelvic-seating area. A includes an exterior-door panel and a door-trim panel supported by and fixed to the exterior-door panel vehicle-inboard of the exterior-door panel. The door includes a window-regulator assembly between the exterior-door panel and the door-trim panel. The window-regulator assembly includes a panel supported by and fixed to the exterior-door panel and a window-regulator motor supported by the panel. The door-trim panel has a vehicle-inboard face and recessed wall recessed vehicle-outboard of the vehicle-inboard face defining a map pocket. The map pocket is adjacent to the seat. The window-regulator assembly includes a polymeric block attached to and supported by the panel. The map pocket is between the polymeric block and the pelvic-seating area when the door is in the closed position.
