The rollers permit the device to travel across the surface of a green or fairway. A pair of X-Y transfer arms are positioned behind the sensor array and support a pitch-mark repair tool. The X-Y transfer arms function to move the repair tool to the location of any pitch-marks detected by the sensor array. The apparatus can be driven across a grassy surface for the purpose of locating and repairing any pitch-marks.
