ACTUATOR AND ACTUATOR FOR OPENING/CLOSING VEHICLE DOOR
Provided is a an actuator, which includes: a tubular yoke; an armature that is provided on an inner side of the yoked in a radial direction and is provided to be rotatable with respect to the yoke; a screw shaft that receives a rotating force of a shaft of the armature and is driven to rotate; a speed reduction gear part that is provided between the shaft and the screw shaft and reduces a rotation speed of the shaft; and a nut member that is connected to the screw shaft and moves in an axial direction of the screw shaft in association with the rotation of the screw shaft An internal gear of the speed reduction gear part is provided on an inner circumferential surface of the yoke and a bearing for rotatably supporting the shaft is provided at the internal gear.
Tailgate support cable assembly with touch sensor activation feature
A tailgate support cable assembly includes a cable and a retainer portion attached to an end of the cable. The retainer portion rotatably attaches the end of the cable assembly to a vehicle tailgate. The retainer portion includes a tailgate retention portion, an object contact portion extending from the tailgate retention portion, and a sensor engagement portion extending from the object contact portion. The retainer portion is structured to rotate with respect to the tailgate responsive to contact between the object contact portion and a foreign object positioned in a seam between the tailgate and another portion of the vehicle, during a closing movement of the tailgate. Rotation of the retainer portion brings the sensor engagement portion into contact with (and activates) a touch sensor mounted on the tailgate. Activation of the touch sensor causes a stoppage and/or reversal of tailgate movement, thereby preventing pinching of the foreign object.
Windshield wiper module
A wiper module assembly for a vehicle lift gate having an inner panel with a spoiler formed as a one-piece part of an outer panel. The outer panel of the lift gate is connected to the inner panel to form an exterior surface of the lift gate. A cavity is formed in part of the spoiler and receives a carrier forming a removable module connected to the cavity of the vehicle lift gate. The carrier includes a wiper, motor and drive assembly for operating a wiper for a window on the lift gate.
Load ramp for a vehicle
A vehicle includes a body, an access aperture that is defined by the body, a closure panel, a load ramp, and a moisture sensor. The access aperture provides access to an interior of the vehicle. The closure panel selectively covers at least a portion of the access aperture. The closure panel is movable between an open position and a dosed position relative to the access aperture. The load ramp is deployably coupled to the closure panel. The load ramp includes a coupled end and a free end. The load ramp is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The moisture sensor is positioned proximate to the free end of the load ramp. Methods of controlling the vehicle are also disclosed.
RAMP DOOR PATIO DECK SYSTEM
A recreational vehicle (RV) includes a ramp door configurable as a ramp or as a patio deck. A stair is attachable to a side of the door. A railing extends about the perimeter of the door when in the deck configuration. First and second support cables may be connected between the door and the RV to support the door when in the deck configuration.
Tailgate hinge mounting structure
An embodiment is tailgate hinge mounting structure including a roof rail disposed in the width direction of the vehicle body, the roof rail comprising a rail reinforcement configured to protrude to the inside thereof, a rear end module connected with the roof rail, the rear end module including a rear end protrude portion configured to be inserted into the rail reinforcement, a tailgate hinge connected with the roof rail and the rear end module, and a rail bolt connecting the rail reinforcement and the rear end protrude portion.
VEHICLE CARGO CARRIER
A vehicle includes a vehicle body structure, a vehicle body structure and a cargo carrier. The vehicle body structure has a roof structure and a rear door opening. The vehicle body structure is installed onto the roof structure. The cargo carrier is configured to be installed onto the vehicle roof rack assembly. The cargo carrier has a base attachable to the vehicle roof rack assembly. The cargo carrier has a lid that is movable with respect to the base between an open and an enclosed position. The base further has a main body enclosable by the lid and an elongated pocket that extends rearward with respect to the main body and the lid.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING A VEHICLE HAVING A LOAD RAMP
A vehicle includes a body, an access aperture that is defined by the body, a closure panel, a load ramp, and a moisture sensor. The access aperture provides access to an interior of the vehicle. The closure panel selectively covers at least a portion of the access aperture. The closure panel is movable between an open position and a closed position relative to the access aperture.
System for controlling the doors of a powered split tailgate
A power, split door system for a vehicle includes a first vehicle door and a second vehicle door arranged to be articulated between closed and open positions. A controller controls movement of the first and second doors between the open and closed positions. A collision zone is defined as a region of the door system in which the first vehicle door and the second vehicle door could potentially come into contact with one another. If both of the doors are within the collision zone during powered articulation of the doors, both are stopped within the collision zone and articulated in a reverse direction to the direction they were being articulated in and into either their fully open or fully closed positions in an appropriate manner that avoids collision of the doors or the doors may remain stopped.
Motor Vehicle Having an Automatically Controllable Rear-Flap Assembly
A motor vehicle has an automatically controllable rear-tailgate arrangement, which either is comprised of a single pivotable tailgate or a pivotable lower tailgate and a pivotable upper tailgate. An electronic control unit for the motorized control of the pivotable tailgates is associated with the rear-tailgate arrangement assembly. In particular, the control unit is designed to perform the following functionality by an appropriately programmed function module: the control unit evaluates information of a sensor unit for sensing the longitudinal tilt of the motor vehicle; after an opening command by an operating person, the control unit prevents complete opening either of the single rear tailgate or at least of the lower rear tailgate at least in the case of a rearward longitudinal tilt exceeding a defined threshold.
