Pickup cab mount pack
A cover for a truck bed that can be horizontally traversed between expanded and collapsed positions is shown. Since the cover is horizontally traversed, the person manipulating the cover need not lift the cover vertically in order to reconfigure the cover between the expanded and collapsed positions. Women and elderly people who are generally not as strong as men can manipulate the cover.
Removable aerodynamic truck topper
Removable aerodynamic truck toppers. The truck toppers comprise a frame configured to surmount the top rails of a bed of pickup truck wherein the frame is covered with a fabric cover.
COVER APPARATUS FOR A FLATBED TRAILER
A cover apparatus for covering a flatbed trailer includes a frame comprising a hub and a plurality of support members. The plurality of support members is coupled to the hub. Each support member of the plurality of support members comprises a beam and a mounting bracket. The beam of each support member of the plurality of support members is coupled to the hub and extends outwardly and downwardly therefrom. The mounting bracket of each support member of the plurality of support members is coupled to a distal end of the beam with respect to the hub and is configured for mounting the frame to a platform of the flatbed trailer. A sheet is removably coupled to the frame and is positioned over and around the frame, bounding an interior space.
INFLATABLE VEHICLE ACCESSORIES
Elements of drop-stitch material are formed into different structures. In a platform, two legs support a horizontal platform. All are of drop-stitch material, which can be inflated to sufficient pressure for it to be rigid. Valves between the legs and platform allow air to flow between the legs and the platform. Another design is a luggage or cargo carrier for vehicles with a base, top and front walls formed of interconnected drop-stitch material. When the drop-stitch material is inflated, the material forms a cavity which receives luggage or other items. Sidewalls create an enclosed space. elements of the drop-stitch material can form other structures such as a truck shell with openings through the material to acts as windows or a door.
Modular Vehicle Bed Cover Apparatus
An apparatus for covering at least a portion of an open bed of a vehicle includes a pair of support frames, where opposing ends of the support frames are removably mounted to opposing edges of the vehicle bed, and a rigid cover panel that is mounted between the support frames to cover the bed. A slot is formed in each support frame that extends along the length of each support frame. The rigid cover panel has edges that may removably slide into the slots of the support frames. The cover panel is held in place by inserting opposite edges into the slots of the support frames and then removably fixing the support frames at a selected location to the vehicle.
TONNEAU COVER SYSTEM WITH SIDE RAIL MOUNTED LATCHES AND A REAR HEADER MOUNTED RELEASE ACTUATOR
A latch can be movably mounted to each of the side rails for movement between an unlocked position and a locked position. A release actuator can be movably mounted to the rear header to extend adjacent both latches for movement between a non-release position and a release position. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is in the non-release position, each latch engages the rear header in the locked position to lock the rear header and side rails together. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is moved toward the release position, the release actuator engages both latches and moves the latches to the unlocked position to unlock the rear header from both of the side rails.
Tonneau assemblies and methods of use and manufacture thereof
Some embodiments are directed to a tonneau assembly including a tonneau sheet configured to cover at least a part of an exposed area of a vehicle, and a rail assembly including a front rail connected to the tonneau sheet, a rear rail, and a pair of longitudinally extending side rails. The rear rail is pivotable between an open position that uncovers part of the exposed area of the vehicle, and a closed position that covers the part of the exposed area. The rear rail is connected to the tonneau sheet to apply a longitudinal tensioning force as the rear rail is pivoted from the open position to the closed position. The tonneau assembly includes a lateral tensioning assembly that is configured to apply a lateral tensioning force that is perpendicular to the longitudinal force as the rear rail is pivoted from the open position to the closed position.
REMOVABLE AERODYNAMIC TRUCK TOPPER
Removable aerodynamic truck toppers. The truck toppers comprise a frame configured to surmount the top rails of a bed of a pickup truck wherein the frame is covered with a fabric cover.
Cable tonneau cover
A tonneau cover assembly with a top cover connected to a cable tensioning system that eliminates the need for side rails to both locate and tension the top cover. The cable tension system seals out environmental elements and holds the tonneau cover and fabric management bows of the assembly in place. The assembly includes a front attachment assembly and rear attachment assembly connected to cables, where the front attachment provides a forward mounting location and seals a front bow to the vehicle. The rear attachment assembly holds the top cover in a closed tensioned state until the cover is opened by an operator. The tonneau cover assembly reduces weight and complexity, while eliminating the need for side rails.
EXPANDABLE COVER ASSEMBLIES FOR CARGO COMPARTMENTS OF MOTOR VEHICLES
Disclosed are expandable compartment cover assemblies for motor vehicles, methods for making and methods for using such cover assemblies, and motor vehicles with expandable tonneau cover assemblies. Disclosed, for example, is an expandable cover assembly for a motor vehicle with a cargo compartment. The expandable cover assembly includes a frame section that releasably attaches to the vehicle body, and extends across some or all of the cargo compartment. The frame section has a central aperture that extends therethrough. A canopy is seated within this central aperture and at least partially surrounded by the frame section. A flexible joint attaches the canopy to the frame section such that the canopy selectively transitions between a collapsed state, whereat the canopy is a first height from the compartment floor of the cargo compartment, and an expanded state, whereat the canopy is a second height, greater than the first height, from the compartment floor.
