Weatherstrip assembly and method of isolating dissimilar metals in the weatherstrip assembly
A weatherstrip assembly includes a body having a carrier or core formed from a first metal for providing strength and rigidity to the body. A show surface of the weatherstrip assembly is formed of a second metal different than the first metal. The second metal acts as the show surface of the weatherstrip assembly. An isolative, electrically low conductivity layer is received only on portions of the first metal that are disposed adjacent to portions of the second metal and potentially subject to electrical contact therebetween.
Bright strip retention clip assembly
A weatherseal assembly, and the associated method, is adapted for receipt on an associated vehicle, and includes a first attachment portion for securing the weatherseal to the associated vehicle, and a protrusion facing outwardly from the weatherseal. An elongated reveal is dimensioned for receipt over the weatherseal protrusion and faces outwardly from the vehicle when mounted thereon. The reveal has a substantially C-shape. A clip is dimensioned for interconnecting the reveal to the weatherseal protrusion, and the clip includes a retention portion that is movable between different, first and second positions such that in the first position, the retention portion has a first dimension when the reveal engages the clip, and in the second position, the retention portion has a different, second dimension when the reveal is engaged to the clip for securing the reveal to the weatherseal assembly.
Sealing structure for automobile door
A sealing structure for an automobile door includes a roll sash with a projection on an inner-cabin side surface of an upper end periphery thereof, a press sash without a projection and joined to the roll sash, and a decorative molding which covers the sashes. An installation base member of a weather strip is configured to operably couple to an outer circumferential edge on an upper side of the door sash. The weather strip includes a hollow seal member and an outer seal lip. An outer-cabin side end of the installation base member and a rib-shaped protrusion which extends outwardly toward an exterior of an automobile are configured to clasp the projection. An upper part protrusion which extends outwardly toward the exterior of the automobile from an upper side relative to the rib-shaped protrusion is configured to make close contact with an upper part of the decorative molding.

Vehicle door sash structure
A vehicle door sash structure includes a holding unit. The holding unit includes a guide locking portion arranged in a region of a run channel opposed in a vehicle inner-outer direction to a tip end rim of an inner beam portion in a state of temporary attachment after completion of attachment of a molding to an outer beam portion. The guide locking portion is inclined in a direction to guide the run channel to a position of completion of attachment while coming into contact with the tip end rim of the inner beam portion by an input of an attachment force in a direction to attach the molding to the run channel in the state of temporary attachment.

GLASS RUN
A glass run includes a glass run body having an approximately U-shaped cross section including a vehicle exterior-side side wall, a vehicle interior-side side wall, and a bottom wall, a vehicle exterior-side seal lip and a vehicle interior-side seal lip respectively extended from leading ends of the vehicle exterior-side side wall and the vehicle interior-side side wall toward an inner side of the glass run body, and a vehicle exterior-side molding lip and a vehicle interior-side molding lip respectively extended toward an outer side of the glass run body. A decorative sheet is applied to a vehicle exterior-side surface of the vehicle exterior-side molding lip. At least the portion where the decorative sheet is applied of the vehicle exterior-side molding lip is formed with a hard part using a hard material that is harder than a soft material.
Vehicle exterior structure
A vehicle exterior structure includes a roof panel, a panel rear window glass, a glass side-edge molding disposed along a side edge of the rear window glass, and a garnish having a constant cross section extending in a direction in which the roof panel and the rear window glass are lined. The garnish is disposed to face a side surface of the roof panel and a side surface of the glass side-edge molding. The side surface of the glass side-edge molding is a wall surface which faces the garnish. The garnish is characterized by having an inner lip which faces the side surface of the roof panel and the wall surface. In this way, a vehicle exterior structure with improved appearance and suppressed noise can be provided.

Glass run for automobile door
Disclosed is a technique of narrowing a trim strip and improving ease of assembly. A boundary portion between upper and outer plate portions in the cross-section of a core is curved to have a large curvature. An outer portion of a glass run body is provided with an upper elastic protrusion engaging with an upper engagement portion of the trim strip. A gap is formed between an upper part of the outer portion of the glass run body and an upper portion of the trim strip. The gap allows the trim strip to move excessively toward the inside of a cabin.
