A combined fluid tank used in diesel engine vehicles using AdBlue is provided, wherein the AdBlue is a urea-based chemical and the combined fluid tank is manufactured using a rotation technology from a polymer-based material. The combined fluid tank includes a first chamber for diesel and a second chamber for AdBlue positioned next to the first chamber, a double-walled impermeable chamber constructed between the first chamber and the second chamber, and a baffle located in at least one of the first chamber and the second chamber and the baffle provides sound and vibration damping, and to a production method of the combined fluid tank.

METHOD FOR WELDING A HEAT SHIELD DURING MANUFACTURING OF A VEHICLE COMPONENT

A method for welding a heat shield during manufacturing of a vehicle component made from a thermoplastic material. The heat shield includes: a reinforcement layer made from a thermoplastic material which is weldable to the thermoplastic material of the vehicle component; and a heat shielding material that differs from the thermoplastic material of the reinforcement layer and is configured to decrease transfer of heat through the reinforcement layer to the vehicle component. The method includes: heating the heat shield to bring the thermoplastic material of the reinforcement layer in a molten state; placing the heated heat shield in a mold; bringing into the mold the thermoplastic material of the vehicle component in a molten state; welding the thermoplastic material of the reinforcement layer being in a molten state to the thermoplastic material of the vehicle component being in a molten state, by blow molding the vehicle component in the mold.

The method of manufacturing a pressure vessel includes forming a lost core assembly, a reinforcement structure around the assembly and removing the core from said assembly to define an internal compartment. The lost core assembly includes a first sacrificial material used to define the shape of the pressure vessel's internal compartment, boss attachable to the first material for the introduction and removal of the fluid into the pressure vessel, and a second material for placement around the first material and at least a portion of the boss such that upon removal of the first material, the second material defines the liner. The reinforcement structure is wound around the liner to give the pressure vessel a unitary, composite structure.

During an impact to the vehicle, the inner shell moves independent of the outer shell and the vehicle, allowing a portion of the energy or the forces associated with an impact to be absorbed by the outer shell, reducing the energy or force transferred to the inner shell.
