FUEL SUPPLY PORTION STRUCTURE OF FUEL SUPPLY PIPE
To prevent fuel from leaking to outside even when the fuel flows back at the time of an automatic stop operation during refueling. A fuel supply portion structure of a fuel supply pipe, including a tubular portion having a filler port and a connection port, a first flap mechanism which is provided on the filler port side of the tubular portion, a drain hole, and a drain hole on-off valve, wherein the drain hole on-off valve is disposed on a placement surface located at the lowermost side of a vehicle on an inner wall of a first inner diameter member, the placement surface is made of an inclined surface falling from the filler port side toward the connection port with respect to a horizontal plane of the vehicle, and a wall portion rising toward the filler port is provided on the filler port side of the inclined surface.
Splash resistant oil tank fill tube
A fill tube for an oil tank may have at least one baffle coupled to an inner wall of the fill tube. A first baffle may have an aperture. A release tube may be coupled to the baffle at the aperture. An object may be inserted through the aperture. The object may force open a flapper valve coupled to the fill tube. Pressure in the oil tank may be released through the flapper valve. The baffles may prevent hot oil from spraying out of the fill tube. After the pressure has been equalized, oil may be poured into the fill tube to fill the oil tank.
Alternative Fuel System
An apparatus and a method are provided for an alternative fuel system, comprising a plurality of fuel tank assemblies interconnected with fuel lines; the plurality of fuel tank assemblies comprising a CNG fuel tank and a fuel tank shield; wherein a first and second fuel tank assembly is disposed immediately in front of a rear wheel assembly, and a third fuel tank assembly is disposed immediately behind the rear wheel assembly.
FUEL FILLER STRUCTURE OF FUEL SUPPLY PIPE
A fuel filler structure includes a cylindrical part having a fueling port and a connecting port; a first flap mechanism and a second flap mechanism that are disposed close to the fueling port and the connecting port of the cylindrical part, respectively, and when a nozzle is inserted through the fueling port, the respective flap mechanisms are pressed by the nozzle to open the fueling port and an opening on the connecting port side; a drain hole formed in the cylindrical part and allowing the inside of the cylindrical part to be communicated with the outside; and an opening and closing valve for opening and closing the drain hole. The opening and closing valve includes a valve mechanism that maintains a closed state of the drain hole through negative pressure suction by a volatile fuel suction mechanism attached to the nozzle.
Flap valve device and gas liquid separation device provided with flap valve device
Provided is a flap valve device and a gas liquid separation device provided with a flap valve. The flap valve device includes a main body having an opening, a flap for selectively closing the opening and a torsion coil spring provided between the main body and the flap for biasing the flap in an opening direction. The flap valve device further comprises a main body side bearing; a flap side bearing; a connecting member including a hinge shaft passed through the main body side bearing, the flap side bearing and the torsion coil spring, and an extension extending from an end of the hinge shaft along an outer part of the flap; and a spring engagement portion provided on the main body for engaging an end of the torsion coil spring; another end of the torsion coil spring being engaged by the extension, which is engaged on the flap.
Flapper valve with guide legs
A flapper valve assembly is provided for venting pressure in a tank. The flapper valve assembly includes a float assembly that is configured to be disposed within a valve housing. The float assembly may have a plurality of guide supports that extend from an end portion of the float assembly. A flapper member is movably supported on the float assembly. The flapper member may include a plurality of guide legs that correspond with the guide supports of the float assembly to maintain proper alignment of the flapper member relative to the float assembly.
Tank ventilation system for a motor vehicle
A tank ventilation system for a motor vehicle has a fuel tank, a fuel vapor store which is connected to a fuel tank, and a ventilating device which is connected to the fuel vapor store, in order to ventilate the latter. The ventilating device has an aeration line which opens in an interior space of the motor vehicle, which interior space is delimited on all sides by vehicle body parts from the surroundings of the motor vehicle.
FLAP VALVE DEVICE AND GAS LIQUID SEPARATION DEVICE PROVIDED WITH FLAP VALVE DEVICE
Provided is a flap valve device and a gas liquid separation device provided with a flap valve wherein the flap valve device is highly compact, and is easy to assemble. In a normally open flap valve device (2) comprising a main body (5) having an opening (4), a flap (6) for selectively closing the opening and a torsion coil spring (7) provided between the main body and the flap for biasing the flap in an opening direction, the flap valve device further comprises a main body side bearing (21) provided on the main body; a flap side bearing (25) provided on the flap; a connecting member (27) including a hinge shaft (27A) passed through the main body side bearing, the flap side bearing and a coil portion (7A) of the torsion coil spring so as to serve as a pivot shaft for the flap, and an extension (27B) extending from an end of the hinge shaft along an outer part (6B) of the flap; and a spring engagement portion (43) provided on the main body for engaging an end of the torsion coil spring; another end of the torsion coil spring being engaged by the extension, the extension being engaged on the outer part of the flap.
CAPLESS FUEL FILLER ASSEMBLY
A capless fuel filler assembly is attached to a distal end of a filler pipe extending from a fuel tank. The capless fuel filler assembly includes a main body, a flap valve, and a pair of stopper ribs. The main body has a fuel filler through which a nozzle of a filler gun is inserted. The flap valve is disposed in the main body such that the flap valve can be opened and closed, and the flap valve opens and closes the fuel filler. The stopper ribs project inward from an inner surface of a flow path of a liquid fuel formed in the main body. The pair of stopper ribs project inward toward each other, and regulate an insertion depth of the nozzle. The shortest distance between the pair of stopper ribs is smaller than an outer diameter of a distal end of the nozzle.
