Storage tank for aqueous urea solution in a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a storage tank (1) in a motor vehicle for receiving an aqueous urea solution for the SCR of nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas. The storage tank (1) comprises a tank body which forms a storage volume (2) for the urea solution. The storage tank (1) furthermore comprises a filling pipe for filling the storage volume (2) and means for venting the storage volume (2) during the refuelling, wherein the filling pipe (3) has a filling head (9) at a remote end, and the filling head (9) forms an orifice stub (10). The orifice stub (10) defines an orifice (11) for receiving a fuel pump nozzle. Said orifice stub furthermore has an external thread for receiving a complementary union thread of a refuelling cylinder for refuelling by the gas displacement method. The orifice stub forms at least one secondary air opening when the refuelling cylinder is attached, and therefore, when a refuelling cylinder is attached, a sealing seat is bridged by the refuelling cylinder and refuelling by the gas displacement method is possible even if counterflow venting through the filling tube (3) does not take place.

Fuel supply device

In a fuel supply device for separating raw fuel into high-octane fuel and low-octane fuel and supplying the fuel, to arrange the structural components compactly and to facilitate sealing against fuel vapor, the fuel supply device (1) includes: a raw fuel tank (2) for storing raw fuel; a separator (6) provided inside the raw fuel tank to separate the raw fuel into high-octane fuel that contains a greater amount of components with high octane numbers than the raw fuel and low-octane fuel that contains a greater amount of components with low octane numbers than the raw fuel; and a high-octane fuel tank (5) provided inside the raw fuel tank to store the high-octane fuel separated from the raw fuel by the separator.

A tube extends through an attachment section and defines a vapor passageway. A housing is supported to the attachment section for movement between several positions relative to the attachment section. The housing defines a float chamber below the tube. A valve seat portion is located within the float chamber and has an engagement part, a sleeve part and a seat surface. The engagement part is connected to the housing. The sleeve part telescopically engages the tube and is movable along the tube with the housing. The valve seat portion defines a central bore open to the vapor passageway and the seat surface. The float moves within the float chamber. When to fluid enters the float chamber the float floats up against the seat surface closing off the central bore and the vapor passageway. In the absence of fluid the float moves downward exposing the seat surface.

Filling head for an operating liquid tank with a gas and liquid valve body

A filling head for an operating liquid tank, in particular of a motor vehicle, comprising a filling tube with an inlet end, which lies farther away from the tank, and an outlet end, which lies nearer to the tank, the filling tube for conducting operating liquid in a filling direction from the inlet end to the outlet end, a venting arrangement with an inflow end, which lies nearer to the tank and an outflow end which lies farther away from the tank, which end is provided for passing of gas in a counter-flow direction with respect to liquid flowing in the filling direction, in a venting direction extending from the inlet to the outflow end, the venting arrangement is provided, at least in the area of its outflow end, separate from the filling tube, the venting arrangement has a valve with a gas valve body, which is movable between a closed position, in which a gas flow in a valve passage is prevented, and a passage position, in which the gas may flow in the valve passage past the gas valve body, the valve having a liquid valve body, which is movable between a blocking position, in which a liquid flow in the valve passage is blocked, and an open position, in which the valve passage past the liquid valve body is open.
