The float valve selectively closes and opens the communicating opening by moving vertically. The fuel inflow portion is provided outside the tubular portion and has a first end having an inflow port for liquid fuel and a second end connected to the inlet. The inflow port is opened at a position that is above the inlet and spaced outward in a radial direction from the tubular portion. The housing includes a discharge port for discharging liquid fuel in the housing.

A valve body, which is arranged in the valve housing interior, can be introduced into the valve housing interior via an introduction opening in the valve housing. The valve body comprises a holding device, by which the valve body is held movably in the valve housing.
