Hydrogen Discharge System for a Motor Vehicle
A hydrogen discharge device for a motor vehicle has at least one outlet for hydrogen. The hydrogen discharge device is arranged below the vehicle hood such that when the vehicle hood is closed, the outlet cannot be accessed and when the vehicle hood is open, the outlet can be accessed.
Fittings for compressed gas storage vessels
A set of fittings for a fuel tank including an elongated stem and a ferrule. The stem includes an elongated coupling body at one end configured to couple within a cavity defined by an end of a fuel tank liner. The ferrule includes a ferrule body having a first ferrule end and a second ferrule end; a lip defining a coupling orifice at the first ferrule end with the stem being operable to extend though the coupling orifice and engaging the lip, and a ferrule cavity defined by the ferrule body that extends between the first and second ferrule ends and opening to the coupling orifice at the first ferrule end and a ferrule opening at the second ferrule end, the ferrule cavity configured to surround the end of the fuel tank liner.
Fuel tank and vehicle
The invention relates to a fuel tank (10) having at least two layers (12) stacked one on top of the other, wherein the layers (12) each have a plurality of single tanks (14) lined together. The invention further relates to a vehicle (100) having the fuel tank (10).
High-pressure container and shell reinforcing layer wrapping method
An end of a shell forming a high-pressure container is opened to form an opening. A cap is disposed partially inside the opening to close the opening. A shell reinforcing layer having a first reinforcing layer that is made of a first fiber-reinforced resin having a fiber direction oriented in a circumferential direction, and a second reinforcing layer that is integrated with the first reinforcing layer and made of a second fiber-reinforced resin having a fiber direction oriented in an axial direction, is wrapped in layers around an outer circumferential surface of the shell. The second reinforcing layer is placed over a region of the first reinforcing layer.
Conveying Device for a Fuel Cell Assembly for Conveying and/or Recirculating a Gaseous Medium
A conveying device for a fuel cell system for conveying and/or recirculating a gaseous medium, in particular hydrogen, includes a recirculation fan, a jet pump that is driven by a motive stream of a gaseous medium that is under pressure, and a metering valve. The gaseous medium is supplied to the jet pump by the metering valve. The conveying device further includes an inlet fluidically connected to an anode outlet of the fuel cell and an outlet fluidically connected to an anode inlet of the fuel cell. The jet pump and the metering valve form a combined valve/jet-pump assembly. The components of the conveying device are positioned on a planar carrier element such that flow lines between and/or within the components extend only parallel to the planar carrier element. The planar carrier element is arranged between the fuel cell and the conveying device.
Hydrogen generator and non-polluting inner combustion engine for driving vehicles
A hydrogen generator for use with an inner combustion engine or other apparatus, even of a movable type, such as a home gas kitchen, said hydrogen generator comprises a system for separating hydrogen from ammonia, said system comprising a NH.sub.3 tank, an ammonia sucking pump, and a cracking oven containing a catalyst, an electric resistance and a H.sub.2/N.sub.2 separating centrifuge and including a suction device comprising a filter followed by a bottle for providing a feeding volume necessary for the produced hydrogen to compensate for user system requirement variations.
Energy storage arrangement including battery unit in intermediate space between fluid tanks
This disclosure relates to an energy storage arrangement for a vehicle. In particular, the energy storage arrangement includes a battery unit provided in an intermediate space between adjacent fluid tanks. Relative to the above-discussed prior art, this disclosure provides an improved energy storage arrangement which uses the otherwise unused intermediate space between two adjacent fluid tanks. Thus, this disclosure provides a space-saving, efficient, and cost-effective arrangement.
Method of recycling composite container for high-pressure gas
A method of recycling a composite container for a high-pressure gas is carried out so as to recover carbon fibers in a long fiber state, using a recovering apparatus that can separate the inner and outer containers of a composite container for a high-pressure gas such as a hydrogen tank and take carbon fibers out of the outer container without cutting it in order to recycle the composite container, in order to increase the degree of recovery of carbon fibers and improve the efficiency of recycling.
Gas sensor including first electrode, second electrode, metal oxide layer, and insulating film, and fuel-cell vehicle including the gas sensor
A gas sensor includes a first electrode having a first main surface and a second main surface opposite to the first main surface; a second electrode having a third main surface facing the second main surface and a fourth main surface opposite to the third main surface; a metal oxide layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and being in contact with the second main surface and the third main surface; and an insulating film covering at least a part of the first electrode, a part of the second electrode, and at least a part of the metal oxide layer. At least a part of the fourth main surface is exposed to gas which contains a gas molecule including a hydrogen atom. A resistance value of the metal oxide layer decreases when the second electrode is in contact with the gas molecule.
Electric vehicle
An electric vehicle which can travel using a power generator that generates electric power based on hydrogen without increasing the size of the hydrogen tank, is provided. An electric vehicle includes a first tank configured to store an organic hydride, a dehydrogenation reactor that has a first passage including a first catalyst for accelerating dehydrogenation reaction of the organic hydride supplied from the first tank and separates the organic hydride supplied to the first passage into hydrogen and an aromatic compound, a power generator configured to generate electric power using hydrogen supplied from the dehydrogenation reactor, a power storage configured to store electric power generated by the power generator, and a motor drivable on electric power from at least one of the power generator and the power storage to rotate a wheel.
