The present invention relates to an anti-theft device for fuel tanks, wherein the anti-theft device comprises a pipe to be secured to a fuel inlet, wherein the pipe comprises attachment means at its upper portion, furthermore the pipe comprises at least one opening disposed in the side wall of the pipe, wherein the pipe is closed at a lower portion and that said pipe accommodates a substance, wherein said substance is adapted, in the event of a fuel theft attempt, to be carried with the fuel into the pump used during the theft attempt and thereby prevent continued pumping with it, and that the substance is further adapted to be incapable of leaking into the actual fuel tank.

FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND UNDER HOOD STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

Provided is a fuel cell system which includes a fuel cell that generates electric power by electrochemical reaction between hydrogen gas and oxidizing gas, and a fuel cell case that houses the fuel cell. A more fragile portion compared to the rest of the fuel cell case in terms of strength is provided in the fuel cell case along an outline of a given shape so that a depressurizing opening having the given shape is formed when internal pressure of the fuel cell case becomes higher than given pressure.

Pressure Relief Device For Tank

A system for pressure relief for a fluid is disclosed. The system includes a storage tank, a pump assembly in an interior of the storage tank, and a pressure relief member located adjacent to the pump assembly, the pressure relief member having a first end and a second end, the first end having a first width and the second end having a second width larger than the first width, the first end located proximate to the pump assembly.

Deterrence of ignition of a vehicle engine when a fuel nozzle is in a fuel intake area

Methods, apparatus, and computer readable media are disclosed for deterrence of ignition of a vehicle engine ignition when a fuel nozzle is in a fuel intake area. An example vehicle includes a fuel intake area, a camera, and a processor. The example processor, in response to an ignition switch being in an on-position, is to detect, via the camera, whether a fuel nozzle is in the fuel intake area. The example processor is to deter ignition of a vehicle engine when the fuel nozzle is in the fuel intake area.

Tank device for temperature pressure relief in a fuel cell tank

A tank device for temperature pressure relief in a fuel cell tank, the tank device comprising at least two tank containers and a supply line which can be connected to the tank containers, each of the at least two tank containers having at least one shutoff valve at one end, the shutoff valve being arranged between the respective tank container and the supply line. At least one safety valve is arranged at another end of the tank container, wherein at least the at least two tank containers and the respective safety valve are at least almost completely enclosed by a housing element and/or are encapsulated from an environment. A positive pressure prevails in the housing element, wherein the housing element contains a temperature-sensitive material, wherein the meltable medium of the safety valve melts when the pressure prevailing in the inner space falls, and thus opens the safety valve.

Leak detection system

The invention relates to a leak detection system on board of a vehicle comprising a fuel tank (301, 401), a filler pipe (302, 402), a venting line (303, 403) for recirculating fuel vapors from the tank to the filler pipe, said system having a combination pressure and temperature sensor mounted in the vapor dome of the fuel tank, and a pressure sensor located in the recirculation line above the highest possible liquid level that could be present in the recirculation line and to methods to detect said leak.
