COMPONENT FOR FUEL FEED APPARATUS

Provided is a component used in a fuel feed apparatus (500), containing: a conductive polyamide layer (25) formed of a conductive polyamide resin composition, in which the conductive polyamide resin composition contains: a polyamide resin, a conductive carbon black, an ethylene--olefin copolymer, and a conductive polyethylene resin, and satisfies the following characteristics (a) and (b): (a) initial volume resistivity of a flat plate obtained by injection forming is 110.sup.5 .Math.cm or less, and volume resistivity after exposing the flat plate to CM15 fuel for 168 hours is 110.sup.7 .Math.cm or less, and (b) charpy impact strength at 40 C. of a test piece obtained by injection forming is 2.0 KJ/m.sup.2 or greater.

Feed system of lubricating oil or fuel of vehicle

In a tank which stores lubricating oil or fuel therein, a strainer for lubricating oil or fuel is arranged at the bottom portion of the inside of the tank. The tank and the lubricating oil or fuel which is stored in the tank carry a positive charge. A self-discharge type static eliminator is placed on the outer surface of the bottom floor of the tank which corresponds to the back side of the inside surface of the tank which faces the strainer to thereby eliminate static electricity from the lubricating oil or fuel which flows into the strainer by the self-discharge type static eliminator.

Retainer with grounding feature for fuel system component

In at least some implementations, a retainer for a fuel system component having an electrically conductive portion accessible from the exterior of the component includes a retaining feature and a grounding feature. The retaining feature is adapted to maintain the location of the fuel system component and the grounding feature electrically couples a ground wire to the electrically conductive portion of the fuel system component. The fuel system component is grounded through a path including the grounding feature and ground wire.

Tank

A tank which has at least one at least partially electrically conductive container, an electric component arranged in the fuel tank, and a cover to close an opening for the electric component, the tank allowing grounding in a simple manner.

Funnel insert for a filler tube of a fuel tank

A funnel insert for a filler tube of a fuel tank for a motor vehicle, the funnel insert being arranged in an end region of the filler tube intended to receive a fuel nozzle, and there being a space between the outside of the funnel insert and the inside of the filler tube, in which space a fluid barrier is arranged. According to the invention, the fluid barrier is in the form of a sealing body arranged on the outer circumference of the funnel insert, which sealing body comprises a sealing lip resting on the inside of the filler tube in portions or circumferentially, and consists of a material having a higher flexibility than the material of the funnel insert.

Fuel tank ground assembly

A grounded fuel tank assembly includes a non-metallic fuel tank having a container and a hollow filler neck, a fuel cap with a hollow stem, and an electrically conductive insert member. The insert member includes a hollow sleeve which is received by the neck, an annular frusto-conical first ring which is joined to an end of the sleeve, and a second ring which extends away from the first ring and which at least partially surrounds a portion of the neck. The sleeve has internal and external sleeve threads formed thereon. The internal sleeve threads engages external cap threads, and the external sleeve threads engages internal neck threads. An electrically conductive ground strap is exterior to the container and engages the second ring. The insert includes tabs which engage the neck to prevent rotation of the insert.

Tank system

A tank system which prevents problems caused by electrostatic charging during a fueling sequence. The tank system includes a filling pipe, a filling hose which leads to a fuel tank, and a support sleeve, composed of an electrically conductive plastic material, in abutment with the filling pipe and the filling hose to thereby connect the filling pipe to the filling hose in an electrically conductive manner.

PIPE CONNECTOR FOR CONNECTING A FUEL LINE OF A FUEL SUPPLY FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE ENGINE

A pipe connector for connecting a fuel line of a fuel supply for a motor vehicle engine of a motor vehicle includes an adapter piece that is connectable to the fuel line for insertion into a fuel pipe. A supporting sleeve is inserted into the adapter piece such that the supporting sleeve is configured to make electrical contact between the fuel line and the fuel pipe. The supporting sleeve has, in a subregion, a stop tab which extends out of a lateral surface plane of the supporting sleeve so as to make axial stop contact with the adapter piece.

DUAL VALVE SYSTEM FOR A FUEL TANK

A fuel tank assembly having a fuel tank and a first valve assembly in fluid communication with the fuel tank configured to selectively allow air to pass through an outlet vent when the vehicle is in an operational orientation, and to restrict fuel flow from out of the gas tank if the vehicle is not in an operational orientation. The fuel tank assembly also has a second valve assembly in fluid communication with the first valve assembly configured to regulate pressure within the fuel tank by permitting air to enter the fuel tank when internal pressure of the fuel tank falls below a first threshold, and permitting air to exit the fuel tank when internal pressure exceeds a second threshold. The valve assemblies are connected in-line such that air entering or exiting the fuel tank via the outlet vent passes through both the first and second valve assemblies.
