A fuel tank and a motor vehicle equipped to recapture, store and recycle atmospheric carbon dioxide is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a vehicle includes a fuel tank which stores carbon dioxide in a same area with the combustible fuel of the vehicle. The fuel tank may include one or more pistons, baffles, bladders, or fixed dividers to separate carbon dioxide storage from fuel storage within a fuel tank area. The fuel tank may share volumetric space between carbon dioxide and fuel within the fuel tank. The fuel tank may be integrally formed into a carbon fiber vehicle body. The fuel tank may be integrally formed into a frame of a vehicle.

FUEL TANK

Provided is a fuel tank made of resin, including: a fuel tank body that is enclosed by a bottom wall, side walls, and an upper wall, the fuel tank body including a first storage portion, a second storage portion, and a coupling portion, the coupling portion communicating an upper portion of the first storage portion and an upper portion of the second storage portion; a pump module disposed in the first storage portion; an open portion formed in the first storage portion; a strut provided in the first storage portion; a separator provided on the strut; a suction portion disposed in the second storage portion; a fuel transfer line that communicates the suction portion to the pump module; a holding portion and a provisional holding portion provided at the separator, the provisional holding portion being configured to removably hold the extra-length portion of the fuel transfer line.

FUEL TANK

There is provided a fuel tank including: a fuel tank main body enclosed by a floor wall, side walls and an upper wall; and a separator including a strut, a first plate portion in which a first penetrating hole that penetrates in a plate thickness direction is formed, and a second plate portion in which a second penetrating hole that penetrates in a plate thickness direction is formed, the second plate portion sandwiching the strut with the first plate portion and extending in a diametric direction at an opposite side of the strut from a side thereof at which the first plate portion is disposed, wherein at least one of shapes, sizes or numbers of the first penetrating hole and the second penetrating hole is set to be different such that fluid resistances at the first plate portion and the second plate portion are different.

Stiffness reinforcement device for fuel tank of vehicle

A stiffness reinforcement device for a fuel tank of a vehicle may include a body including a pair of pillars formed at both lateral end portions of the body; an upper fusing portion molded to an upper part of the body integrally and fused to an upper plate of the fuel tank; and a lower fusing portion molded to a lower part of the body integrally and fused to a lower plate of the fuel tank.

TANK REINFORCEMENT WITH INTEGRATED BAFFLE

This invention relates to a reinforcement structure made of plastic material for plastic vehicle tank. The reinforcement structure comprises a first portion comprising at least one weak section and at least one strong section, which are designed so that said weak section breaks before said strong section, when said first portion is under mechanical stress, said reinforcement structure also comprises at least one second portion designed to reduce the slosh noise, said second portion extends from the strong section.

A tank mounted on a working vehicle is provided with an exterior member including a first plate unit, a second plate unit, a third plate unit, a fourth plate unit, a fifth plate unit, and a sixth plate unit, a first baffle plate joined to a first inner surface of the first plate unit, a second inner surface of the second plate unit, and a third inner surface of the third plate unit, and a second baffle plate joined to a fourth inner surface of the fourth plate unit, a fifth inner surface of the fifth plate unit, and a sixth inner surface of the sixth plate unit.

Reservoir Tank

The reservoir tank includes a reservoir body which reserves a fluid in an inner portion thereof formed to be in a hollow box shape. The reservoir body includes a port extending outward, a reservoir chamber which reserves the fluid and a port chamber which volume is smaller than that of the reservoir chamber and is in fluid communication with the port and a first communication passage positioned at a portion lower than a changeable liquid surface of the fluid reserved in the reservoir chamber in a vertical direction and provided at the first partition portion to allow the fluid communication between the reservoir chamber and the port chamber and wherein the port chamber and the port are kept being a state in which they are filled with the fluid supplied from the reservoir chamber via the first communication passage.

Louvered screen baffle for reduction of fuel slosh noise

A system for reducing fuel slosh noise in a storage tank is described. In one particular example, the system comprises a slatted baffle with angularly arranged louvers extending therefrom to reduce sloshing noise in the tank by redirecting fuel waves while preventing surface wave collisions in the tank. In this way, the louvered baffle has the ability to provide different fuel flows based on the direction of flow incident on the slatted baffle, which may enhance the driving experience, particularly in hybrid and start-stop vehicles, where periods exist in the drive cycle where background engine noise is absent.

AIRCRAFT FUEL STORAGE SYSTEM

An aircraft fuel storage system is disclosed including a fuel tank comprising a chamber for storing fuel, the chamber comprising a first side, a second side, and a base connecting the first side to the second side; a collector; and a first conduit and a second conduit, each of the first and second conduits fluidically coupling the chamber to the collector so that fuel is freely passable from the chamber to the collector via the respective first and second conduits. The first and second conduits open into the chamber at respective first and second conduit openings, the first conduit opening is nearer to the first side than the second conduit opening is to the first side, and the second conduit includes a second conduit lock portion that is nearer to the first side than the second conduit opening is to the first side. Also disclosed is an aircraft including the aircraft fuel storage system.
