Saddle fuel tank

Methods and systems are provided for a fuel tank mounted to a vehicle. Specifically, a saddle fuel tank comprising of a primary and secondary fuel compartment, each compartment having a module for mounting a fuel pump, fuel sensor and other accessories is disclosed. A first and second crimped opening formed on a top external wall and bottom internal wall, respectively of the saddle fuel tank may provide means for securely mounting a main and sub-side module to the fuel tank.

Method for manufacturing a hollow body, in particular a fuel tank

A method for manufacturing a hollow body, typically a tank, from a plastic material. The method includes molding a preform into shells in a molding tool; joining an insert to an inner surface of a shell of said shells, the insert defining a sub volume within the hollow body to be made; joining together the shells to form the hollow body by closing the molding tool and applying a main pressure to a main volume enclosed by the shells. It is proposed to apply a sub pressure to the sub volume while applying the main pressure to the main volume, such that a pressure difference between the main volume and the sub volume is bigger than 0.20 bar (P1P2>0.20 bar) and smaller than 3.00 bar (P1P2<3.00 bar).

A fuel tank filler apparatus comprises a capless filler neck closure adapted to be mated with an outer end of a fuel-tank filler neck. The capless filler neck closure may be removable from the fuel-tank filler neck for service or repair.

Portable fuel tank assembly and portable fuel tank support

A portable fuel tank assembly includes a portable fuel tank for holding fuel and a support to be connected to a supporting surface for holding the fuel tank stationary with respect to the supporting surface. The fuel tank has a first quick connector for fluid communication with the fuel in the fuel tank. The support has a second quick connector for mating and providing fluid communication with the first quick connector. The fuel tank and support are configured such that securing the fuel tank in the support simultaneously mates the second quick connector to the first quick connector to provide for fluid communication between the second quick connector and the fuel in the fuel tank. A support for holding a portable fuel tank is also provided.

TANK INCLUDING A CONNECTOR AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING AN ELECTRICAL DEVICE IN A TANK

The invention relates to a tank (300) comprising an electrical device (400) attached to a first connector (100), said first connector being adapted for being coupled to a second connector, said first connector comprising a first plastic part (110) and at least one first electrically conductive contact element (121, 122), said at least one first electrically conductive contact element being electrically connected with said electrical device, said second connector comprising a second plastic part and at least one second electrically conductive contact element, said at least one second electrically conductive contact element being configured for being coupled with said at least one first electrically conductive contact element, wherein said first plastic part is adhered along a closed curve extending around the at least one first electrically conductive contact element to a plastic portion inside the tank.
