20180274490 · 2018-09-27 · ·

Disclosed herein is a canister (1) having a passage therein. One end of the passage is provided with a fuel vapor introduction port (11) and a purge port (12). The other end of the passage is provided with an open-to-air port (13). The passage includes a first chamber (21) and a second chamber (22) sequentially arranged from the one end of the passage. The first and second chambers house first and second adsorbents (51) and (61), respectively, which are capable of adsorbing and desorbing fuel vapor. The canister is configured such that, when mounted on a vehicle, a first passage, of the passage, corresponding to the first chamber is approximately horizontal, and that a second passage, of the passage, corresponding to the second chamber is approximately vertical, with one side of the second passage closer to the open-to-air port being located above the other side of the second passage.

Canister

A canister that is mounted on a vehicle includes an inflow port, an outflow port, an atmosphere port, a valve, at least one honeycomb body, and a spacer. The inflow port is coupled to a fuel tank in the vehicle. The outflow port is coupled to an intake flow passage of an internal combustion engine in the vehicle. The atmosphere port communicates an interior of the canister with an exterior of the canister. The valve opens and closes the atmosphere port. The honeycomb body is arranged in the most downstream side in a gas flow passage that leads to the atmosphere port from the inflow port, which is the upstream of the valve, enables adsorption and desorption of an evaporated fuel evaporated from the fuel tank, and has a honeycomb configuration. The spacer is arranged between the valve and the honeycomb body and maintains a specific distance therebetween.

Fuel Tank Device

A fuel tank apparatus for a motor vehicle that includes a fuel tank and a filling module configured for connection to the fuel tank. The filling module includes a fuel accumulator and a filler neck configured for fluidic connection to the fuel accumulator in such a way that permits filling to occur place via the filler neck exclusively into the fuel accumulator.

STIFFNESS REINFORCEMENT DEVICE FOR FUEL TANK OF VEHICLE

A stiffness reinforcement device for a fuel tank of a vehicle may include a body including a pair of pillars formed at both lateral end portions of the body; an upper fusing portion molded to an upper part of the body integrally and fused to an upper plate of the fuel tank; and a lower fusing portion molded to a lower part of the body integrally and fused to a lower plate of the fuel tank.

VAPOUR RECOVERY SYSTEM AND VAPOUR CONTROL METHOD

A vapour recovery system recovers vapour coming from a vehicle tank. The system includes a valve that is positionable in a closed position, an open position creating a passageway with a first size, and one or more intermediate positions each creating a passageway with a size smaller than the first size. The system also includes an electronic controller to control an actuator to position the valve in a sequence of positions over time. The sequence includes at least one of the intermediate positions during a time period larger than 1 second. The valve is arranged in a line of the vapour recovery system between a vapour outlet of the vehicle tank and the atmosphere. The actuator is a stepper-motor based linear actuator. The controlling includes selecting at least one intermediate position, and the selection includes selecting a number of steps to be set from a predetermined reference position.

SADDLE-RIDE TYPE VEHICLE

A saddle-ride type vehicle for enabling the placement of canisters with a required absorption-chamber capacity in a compact manner. The saddle-ride type vehicle includes a head pipe supporting a steering shaft connecting with a handlebar; a vehicle-body frame connecting with the head pipe; a fuel tank placed to the rear of the head pipe and supported on an upper portion of the vehicle-body frame; and a pair of canisters for absorbing evaporated fuel introduced from the fuel tank. The canisters are vertically placed under one side portion of the fuel tank in a position along the vehicle-longitudinal direction.

MULTI-USE FUEL TANK FLANGE ASSEMBLY
20170015468 · 2017-01-19 ·

A multi-use fuel tank flange assembly facilitates the attachment and removal of multiple components thereto, such as a draw and return tube assembly, a fuel filler neck, and a cover plate. Each of these components may be removed from the flange without damage to the component, the flange or the fuel tank. Multiple flanges may be used on a single fuel tank to allow multiple components to be secured to the single fuel tank.

SENSOR DEVICE

A sensor device 1 includes a fuel property sensor 5 configured capable of detecting a property of fuel that is ejected from a fuel pump 4 in a feel tank 2; a guiding line 12 configured to guide fuel ejected from the fuel pump 4 to the fuel property sensor 5; and a relief valve 21 configured to allow fuel to flow out of the guiding line 12 when a pressure of fuel in the guiding 12 becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined pressure.

UNIVERSAL PICKUP TUBE AND RETURN SYSTEM
20260124909 · 2026-05-07 ·

A universal pickup tube and return system is provided. The system includes a pickup tube with a pickup fitting coupled to the first end, configured as a universal fitting for vehicle pickup fuel lines. A return fitting couples to the vehicle's return fuel line. The pickup tube inserts into the replacement fuel tank's pickup insert with the pickup fitting extending from the top. The return fitting couples to the tank's return insert for fuel return. The pickup tube extends to the tank's lowest portion to draw fuel as levels drop. Both fittings are compatible with aftermarket high-pressure fuel systems, providing plug and play installation without requiring custom components.
