Provided is a fuel container composed of a multilayer structure containing: an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) layer; an adhesive resin (B) layer; a high-density polyethylene (C) layer; and a resin composition (D) layer, wherein the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) contains 15 to 44 mol % of ethylene, the adhesive resin (B) is a maleic anhydride-modified polyolefin having an acid value of 0.1 to 10 mgKOH/g and containing 1 to 8.5 μmol/g of magnesium element, calcium element, zinc element, or a combination thereof, the resin composition (D) contains the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A), the adhesive resin (B), and the high-density polyethylene (C), the thickness of the (A) layer, the (B) layer, and the (C) layer satisfies specific conditions, and the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A), the adhesive resin (B), and the high-density polyethylene (C) satisfies specific conditions. The fuel container is excellent in fuel barrier properties and impact resistance and enables stable production.

Method of manufacturing a plastic tank

A method for producing a plastic tank includes preparing a tank wall as a hot extrudate. A reinforcing sheet is then attached to at least one region of the outer layer of the hot extrudate. After introducing the attached reinforcing sheet and the hot extrudate into a shaping tool, the shaping tool performs shaping of the hot extrudate and the attached reinforcing sheet to form the tank wall, while simultaneously enhancing the attachment of the reinforcing sheet to the tank wall.

Low-profile liquid storage tank and grounds maintenance vehicle incorporating same

A low-profile liquid storage tank and vehicles incorporating same. An exemplary low-profile liquid storage tank may define an interior volume having an upper surface that defines an access port, and a lower surface that includes a fluid impingement portion positioned below the access port. The impingement portion may include two or more undulations formed in or on the lower surface of the tank, the undulations adapted to assist with reducing splash-back of fluid added to the tank through the access port.

Plastic filler neck for vehicles

A plastic filler neck for vehicles includes a fuel injection pipe, a retainer inserted and fastened into an internal space of a tip of the fuel injection pipe to support a refueling gun, a cap holder directly fastened to the tip of the fuel injection pipe by fusion, and an air drain casing mounted, by a mounting bracket, to an outer diameter portion of the cap holder fastened to the fuel injection pipe.

Tank cooling apparatus

A cooling apparatus includes: a pair of movable frames provided to be movable relative to each other so as to clamp a tank; multiple contact members provided on each of the pair of movable frames and each having a contact surface configured to contact an outer surface of the tank; a cooling liquid supply passage provided with multiple cooling liquid supply ports that respectively open in the contact surfaces of the contact members to supply a cooling liquid toward the outer surface of the tank; and a cooling liquid supply device that supplies the cooling liquid to the cooling liquid supply passage. Each of the contact surfaces is provided with grooves extending from a corresponding one of the cooling liquid supply ports to an outer edge of the contact surface.

FUEL CONTAINER FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A FUEL CONTAINER, AND REINFORCING ELEMENT FOR A FUEL CONTAINER

Fuel tank for a motor vehicle, —comprising a plastic wall which delimits a storage volume for storing fuel, —comprising one or more reinforcing elements for reinforcing the plastic wall, —with at least one reinforcing element being connected to an outer side of the plastic wall that faces away from the storage volume, characterized in that—a maximum thickness of at least one reinforcing element measured normal to the plastic wall is greater than the wall thickness of the plastic wall.

INTERNAL SUPPORTING PART STRUCTURE FOR PLASTIC TANK

An internal support part structure for a plastic tank includes a support rod and end surface components disposed at two ends of the support rod. The support rod is made of a first material. An outer surface of the end surface component is covered by a second material. An outer edge of the end surface component has a regular or irregular shape. The structure resolves a problem that a second material wrapping a first material and connected to an inner wall of a plastic tank may be easily pulled off the inner wall. When a fuel tank is impacted, the support rod of the structure breaks first, to protect the surface of the fuel tank from damage.

Stiffness reinforcement structure for fuel tank of vehicle

A stiffness reinforcement structure for a fuel tank of a vehicle is capable of maintaining the stiffness of the fuel tank even with changes in pressure such as positive pressure and negative pressure in the fuel tank. In particular, a stiffness reinforcement column inside a fuel tank made of a plastic material is capable of preventing heat fused portions between the reinforcement column and the upper and lower plates of the fuel tank from being ruptured by allowing the stiffness reinforcement column to have self-reactive impact dispersion movement in case of a vehicle collision accident.

System for a motor vehicle

A system for a motor vehicle, the system including a container having a side made of a plastic material, and a component sealingly attached to the container side. The component has at least one portion provided with microgrooves that form a sealing area between the component and the container side.

Plastic vehicle tank with connecting element having an improved breaking effect

A plastic vehicle tank defining an interior volume provided to contain liquid and comprising: a. an upper wall; b. a lower wall; c. at least one connecting element joining the upper wall to the lower wall of the plastic vehicle tank, said at least one connecting element being located inside the interior volume provided to contain a liquid, and comprising a structure made of continuous fibers embedded in a matrix.
